OH, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL MONDAY WE'RE HAVING!
Today is a double-dipper for me with EGA South Bend this morning and EGA Elkhart tonight! I confess that hauling my heiney out of bed this morning was quite a task, but once I was showered and kinda dressed, everything was on the upswing from there.
I was able to enjoy a bit of stitching with my Guilders, and then return and borrow a new stack of library books, and now I'm home with a nice big cold brew for a few hours until it's time to head out again. Hopefully we'll get another walkabout in the sunshine, and I'll be able to enjoy a nice grilled chicken salad to make the day perfectly complete in every way.
Big-Hearted Tiny Town continues. I am fairly certain that I can finish this up this afternoon, this evening, or tomorrow....just in time for V-Day. I have absolutely no idea what will jump onto the q-snaps next, but methinks I might play with a little canvaswork or a painted canvas or...who knows? As long as I can kit it all up with a fancy bag and bling it all up like a Vegas showgirl, I'll be tickled pink!
What's new in your little corner of the world?

IN WHICH WE GO DOWN THE STAIRS AND FOR A LITTLE WALK
I am so proud of this man. He asked me to help him with his shoes, and then he got himself to the door of CS2 and then right on down that staircase and out into the parking lot for a walk. I cannot imagine how hard it was to navigate those stairs, or how much that new hip probably hurt with every step.
But step he did, and now we can cross a major milestone off of the list.
Thank you for all of your love, support, and encouragement...they have truly made all the difference in the world!

OH, THAT FEELS SO MUCH BETTER!
I am home safe and sound after visiting with my guild ladies at Hoosier Heartland this morning, and I forgot how much I enjoy playing with canvas! Doesn't it seem like I used to do a LOT more stuff on canvas in years past?
Rich and I had thought we might venture out and about today, but the air is quite chilly and he is not feeling up to the challenge of the stairs yet. He's really doing very well, and is able to maneuver around the apartment with his walker pretty well, but those stairs are going to take a minute.
Happy Saturday to one and all! What's blowing your skirt up today? Come tell me all about it!

BACK IN THE SADDLE...WELL...ONE CHEEK, ANYWAY. ðŸ¤
Hello, Dearies!
It's a beautiful sunny day here in Hoosierville, and I'm having an afternoon cold brew pick-me-up and getting ready to jump into a new stitchy start of Big-Hearted Tiny Town.
Our patient is doing very well. He is now able to stand and move about (with the help of a walker contraption) un-assisted. He said that the pain is tolerable, and other than fatigue and a fair bit of cabin fever, he seems to be doing pretty well.
I am holding my own, but ready to get back to a better/healthier schedule. Although I'm just fine with never leaving the apartment (see notes re: agoraphobic hermit spinsterhood), I am looking forward to perhaps getting out to Guild on Saturday morning. I miss my Ladies so much, and would like to don something other than pajama pants and slippers for a change!
Thank you for all of your notes and cards and comments and hugs and prayers and pats of support and encouragement! They truly sustained me, and I can honestly say that without them I don't think I would have survived! Who knew that a kidney transplant would seem like a cake walk compared to all of this?!
So that's the report. I have half a heiney back in the saddle, and I'm hoping the other half isn't far behind.
No pun intended. ðŸ¤
