IN WHICH WE BUILD OUR LITTLE HOUSE...

I think I keep calling this piece by the wrong name.  This is FOREST SNOWFALL, not Frosty Forest or whatever else I've been calling it.  This is/was a SAL along with the fabulous Miss Priscilla and Miss Chelsea on the Flosstubes.

But I think I'm the only person in the group who has not yet completed it.

Today, though, I hope to make some progress while Rich is at the office and I am in the Happy Chair.  Then at about 4:00 or so I'm going to channel my inner Ina and make a lovely dinner for when he comes home.

Such big plans.  I better pace myself.

So that's the report for the day.  The sun is shining and the birds are tweeting sweetly down in Florida or Argentina or wherever it is that the thermometer hasn't given up completely.  Hope your corner of the world is swell and that you're doing something fabulous!  Come tell me all about it!

  1. No, you're not the only still working on Forest Snowfall. I'm about half way done. Hope to finish it soon.

  4. You may be the only one who hasn't finished but I'll bet you're the only one dealing with dialysis. Hang in there.

  6. Nope...you are definitely not the only one who hasn't completed it! I'm only about two-thirds done. It's a sweet pattern, but not a favorite of mine. I'm not even sure what I'm going to do with it once I'm done...I'll need some Priscilla inspiration to be sure!

  8. My friends by Ocala woke up to 24 with wind chill of 16 and a frozen waterline! So it's not done, life happens, it's cute. Take care, enjoy your off days, the uncle and aunt played on his no dialysis days. She said her house was a wreck, but who cared. They made memories! Stay safe,

  10. I'm not done with Forest Snowfall either. I just had to rip out an entire line of words because of s counting error. That's what comes of stitching while I'm sick. And now my tendinitis is acting up so that will also slow me down. At this rate I will be the last one done!

  12. it is coming out great, i am a very slow stitcher & tp I am going to do the "off the grid stitch". I started something new since I was not doing well on my Needleworker pattern.

  13. "Such big plans. I better pace myself."

LMAO! As a fellow disabled person, I'm stealing these words and using them daily...cuz both a shower and a load of laundry in the same day is pretty miraculous for me. There was another good one you had recently...something about training your whole life for this marathon (in the happy chair), and how amatures shouldn't try it. What would I do without your sense of humor?

Forest Snowfall is gorgeous, especially on that dotted fabric. Tonight I'm finishing up Easter Bunny, an embroidery project:

  14. What kind of fabric is that? Aida? I've never seen it with polka dots. I love it.

  18. Yes, it is all about the pacing. I plan to do some laundry and stitch...I know for sure the stitching will happen. Hope you are feeling good and you have a wonderful day!! xo Mj

  19. Love the stitching, Connie. But the fabric is PERFECT! Love your attitude. I get grouchy for less than what you’re going through.
