STILL REACHING...AND FLAT FLOSSIE IS READY TO ROCK AND ROLL!!!

Another block down...seven to go!

Madame Flat Flossie is ready to start packing! If you would like to host (or hostess her), please shoot me an email to spinsterstitcher@aol.com. I'll put all of the names into a hat (or possibly an old sock), and then pull the winning entry sometime over the weekend.

Gee, I guess that means that the deadline to enter would be Friday, midnight.

(Some restrictions apply. Consult your physician for an e.... whoops! Nope. Not going to go there.)

Hostessing (or hosting) means that you agree to show Madame Flossie a good time, take a few snaps of her visit, blog a bit about it, help her write about her adventures in her Passport, and then send her on to the next destination with a few postcards and a small (yet lovely) little something for the next unsuspecting victim (er, I mean, stitcher). It's a blast, I swear, and you will really enjoy running here and there with a tiny little "person" as your constant companion.

(If I had a nickle for every time somebody came up to me in the Targets and said "What the hell is THAT hanging out of your Vera?, I'd be in Turks and Caicos by now.)

  3. Oh, I would love to host Flat Flossie! I promise to show her a good time--she'll go to New Orleans and experience the French Quarter, visit the state capitol here in Baton Rouge, and make a trip to the Bluebonnet Swamp. A trip to plantation country, some boiled crawfish, and if there's enough time, I'll take her into alligator country for a hunt! (Swamp People, anyone?)

And naturally, she'll visit our local needlework stores, Cross-Stitch Corner and The Elegant Needle (needlepoint).

So skip that pesky drawing and just send her this way! Stewey, of course, is welcome too.

    email has benn sent...

  5. Oh I can't wait! I would love her to visit me. I wonder how she would feel taking a vacation with me to Maine? It's going to be a great road trip.

  10. Sorry I can't take her on a tour of the Big Apple...we'll be traveling ourselves this summer, but perhaps she would like to come visit NYC in the fall!

  11. Flat Flossie MUST come visit Waco, TX. I can definitely show her a good time. She will visit our local American Cancer Society where she can see how stitched ornaments and quilts helped raise $3500 for cancer patients! And she can have her picture taken on one of the oldest bridges in Texas where the cattle drives crossed the Brazos. And she can have a taste of pecan pie, done Texas style!

  12. I would love to host a visit but unfortunately I still don't have a blog. I am sure she would love to see the sites in Massachusetts. Maybe some year I'll get off my butt and start a blog. Until then I can't wait to see where she goes!
