When you sit down, turn off the iPad thingie, thread up, and finally stitch...good things result! As soon as I finish my damn good, have a healthy breakfast, start the laundry, and take a shower, I'm going to try it again!
We're off like a herd of turtles! Do something fun, Dearies, and come tell me all about it!
I’m facing laser surgery for glaucoma and am nervous about the whole thing. Can anyone share an experience or some advice? I’m terrified of my eyesight being affected.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Debbie
Debbie, Anything with our eyes can be terrifying. I had laser surgery, but not for glaucoma and I was scared to death. My doctor explained everything first. I was still scared but it was ok. As I understand it, this procedure is to help drain the excess fluid from the eye and should not affect your vision. Ask your doctor what to expect during and after and tell them how nervous you are. Doctors are used to that. I wish you the best of luck. (The National Eye Institute has an information page on laser surgery for glaucoma on their website)
DeleteThanks! That really helps, and the article eased my worries a lot.
DeleteHere I am one of your fellow lagging turtles! I made it thru the work week and day! Yay me! It's been a bugger of a week, things should resume to normal crazy next week. I still have the shower on the list, but I did get the pizza dough churning for later. Otherwise a stitchy evening with a side of homemade pizza! Bridgette
ReplyDeleteOnce I get the chores out of the way, you will find me working on one of the sweaters by Lila's Studio. Happy Saturday, Coni!
ReplyDeleteYes, some days are productive and some are a lost cause. I'm retired from teaching but am now free play a daily mass three mornings a week, plus my weekend one of course. Meh - the days I have to shower earlier, get up and out are actually becoming the less accomplished. I come home tired. What's up with that!? The days I can get up, relax with some coffee, ease into chores in my pj's and then shower when I'm done ... I'm usually way more productive. Go figure. Meh -
ReplyDeleteIt's Saturday and we hit the movies early since I have Sat night mass. Avatar - I should have known it would be a heavy one, but enjoyed it. Got tickets to Fabelman's on Tues night. Looking forward to that one - somewhat of a biopic about Steven Spielberg. Somewhat late to both those parties, but it's been so busy.
Working on a couple needlepoint canvases. Happy stitching to all! Here's to whatever works for each of us!
