I SWEAR YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP

Five seconds after I posted here, Dearies, I checked my bank accounts (as I do every morning), and it looks like somebody got ahold of my account last night and went on an amazon shopping spree. I was able to shut the account down, but getting the charges disputed and credited is going to take some doing...printing, scanning, filling out forms, etc.

Perhaps I should have just stayed in bed with the covers pulled over my head another week or two.

Phooey.

  3. This is horrible! I'm so sorry that this has happened to you --- it happened to me four months ago --- I can't put into writing what I think should happen to the thieves who do these things. You'll get all of your money back --- it's just going to take some time and I'm not real big on waiting. Please just don't give up and hold on!

  5. I have had this happen as well... the interesting thing is the packages came to me! The ones that went to someone else were the thieves. I have a laundry list of horrific issues as well these last 4 weeks... WE WILL SURVIVE! Ruth in Oxnard CA

  6. Been through that ourselves; it's a royal pain, but you'll get through it. I hate that you're having to deal with it.

  7. Oh no, Coni! I just can't believe it. Hoping this is resolved quickly and easily for you and may whatever the thieves bought.....oh this is so bad I really shouldn't type it here, but oh well......may whatever they bought be contaminated by the 'Rona, but only the inside of the boxes, so the nice delivery people don't get it. :)

  8. Please don't send me any nasty comments about my comment. CoViD is certainly serious, but so is stealing from people.

  9. It shouldn't take that long, well with many banks anyway.

  10. Oh good grief! These damned thieves - a pox on them and may their meddling fingers tangle!
I'm guessing the stuff they purchased isn't your normal things, so the bank ought to know. I hope the refund doesn't take too long.
I think you need chain mail, armour and a big horse - and Mr JB can be your squire.

  12. Holy Cow!!! It is just ridiculous that people do that sort of thing. I hope that is is relatively painless to straighten out.

  14. Bless your heart, do you feel like a sitting duck that someone is going to make dinner out of? Crazy world. At least you do have wits about you and can deal with it, pain that it is. May those who did the deed trip over their greed.
