Every year the University of Notre Dame, along with their uniform provider UnderPants, designs a special uniform for one of the special games, and every year on this here blog my special little spinster head explodes.

This year? Well, thanks to some kind of magic alignment of the stars, they have FINALLY gotten the damn things right. This year, Notre Dame and UnderPants will pay tribute to the 1988 National Championship team.
MY 1988 National Championship. MY friends. MY family. MY classmates who went out there and won it all for the Gipper...right there in front of God, Yours Truly, and everybody.

Yay! It is definitely better than the shower mold version and the marshmallow man! I say well done!
ReplyDeleteNot bad at all - uniform was nice too! ;) Here we don't have American football so much, although there are some teams dotted around. It's mainly football (soccer to those across the pond), rugby and cricket. I love cricket - the outfits are a little baggier though! Then I have to say I like baseball too - although we see nothing of that here, rounders perhaps - which is different yet again!

ReplyDeleteOh, Coni! I should know better than to be drinking my damn good and reading your annual uniform review at the same time. Let's just say coffee backwash and nostrils is not an attractive mix (wiping up my keyboard....). Shower mold has to be the best description ever of that crud color. Who ever said that was a good color for a uniform? I adore your sense of humor!
