NEW LEAF

OK.

Last week was...eh.

So I sent it on its way last night, had a good long sleep, and am just finishing my second cup of damn good. I'm going to take a dip, have a nice cool shower, and hit the Happy Chair with iced tea and stitching for the duration.

Not much to report stitchy-wise, Dearies. My progress on Plum Pudding has been minimal. I am still loving it...just haven't been able to access the turbo button on my needle.

It is beastly out there, kids, so please be careful if you're out in it today. I am taking all precautions and also minding my fluids, so please don't fret for me.

Happy Saturday to one and all! I hope you get to do whatever your lovely hearts desire today! Come tell me all about it!

  1. Glad you seem to have a handle on things this am. I be am paying today for what I put off doing yesterday. Oh well, I have an iced tea to go and after I get my errands done today v I'll be inside with books, DVDs,and stitching tomorrow. We are supposed to get a little break on Monday. Hang in; this too will pass. FGFAC!

  4. Here in East Texas we’re paying for having an actual spring. The heat index has been in triple digits for what seems like forever. Usually our “spring” is about four days in April before the humidity hits and stays at 80% or above, the thermometer rises to 90 degrees or above, and the sweating commences. Now we just huddle around the AC vents and wait for October or November. In my 76 years we’ve had quite a few Christmases with the fireplace merrily blazing (for atmosphere) while the AC keeps us from passing out. And we still think we live in God’s Country—we Texans can be delusional about our state! I’m in a stitching dry spell, waiting for motivation, so I’ve been impressed with your recent accomplishments. Inspiration will strike me soon, surely.

  9. Good morning! Sounds like you have this day under control indeed. Once I finish a job I started yesterday I'll be in my stitching chair as well. Hey! I'm old! I'm supposed to put things off!

  10. Sounds like a wonderful way to spend a Saturday. We spent the day at the racecar track. Not sure my ear drums have recovered yet.
