AND...WE'RE BACK

It never ceases to amaze me, but every single time I get frustrated with something, Laura J. Perin Her Very Self has a way to bring me right back to square.

After my tizzy fit last night, I gently tucked the problem piece away and pulled this out of the Spinster Stitcher Basket of Fun Old Fashioned Christmas Fun. It's a little unwieldy, but thanks to my lap stand I think I will be able to play with this here at home quite nicely. I've never done it before, but I might try turning this on its side and stitching it that way, but I'm not quite there yet.

Super quiet and more than a little tired today, Dearies. No matter how hard I tried, I simply could not sleep last night and ended up staying awake until 5am watching a movie called The Phantom Thread. I'm not sure I understood it, but it was...interesting nonetheless.

OK, off to get my day moving. I am determined to get my stitchy mojo back, and the only way to do that is to stitch.

Here's hoping your own mojo is firmly in place and that you get to do everything you want to do and nothing you don't!

  1. My stitchy mojo AND my designing mojo left me when DH passed. *sigh* Perhaps someday it will return. I'm still collecting however. I want to keep my S.A.B.L.E. (Stash Accumulation Beyond Life Expectancy) status! ;) Love hugs & prayers, Cathryn ♥♥♥

  2. I saw The Phantom Thread, too, Coni. Somewhat puzzling, but visually quite beautiful. Hope you sleep well tonight!

  3. But Coni - when you tucked the problem project away, did you include a little note to yourself so that when you pull it out next time, you don't have to try to recall where things were at? Perhaps you could just write: "refer log post of Dec 1, 2018".

  4. My daughter and I went to see The Nutcracker today, so not much stitching. But a fun day.

  5. Yup, those long panels are awkward to stitch in the middle sections, Coni...but I too turn them on their sides sometimes (and turn the graph pages, too!) so I can get closer. The outer borders are especially easy to work on the sides - good no-brainer work, as long as you remember to follow the graph and don’t stitch too far (just a little designer tip, grin!)

  6. Sometimes putting things away until you are ready to deal with them is the best choice. Looking forward to seeing your progress on this one!
