I'm determined to get the green portion of this house completed before I move to another project. And maybe the roof. And the lower shingles. And all the windows.
Oh, heck. Maybe I'll stick with this one for a bit longer.
But stay tuned, because I am feeling rather like a squirrel in traffic and might change my mind at any moment!
It's a bright, cool, and sunny Sunday here in Hoosierville, so I am going to attempt to get a little fresh air. I will either go for a little walk or take a cup of damn good and the paper out on the balcony.
Or maybe both.

ReplyDeleteI have received my needle minders and have used them. They are adorable! And the Stewey one - well, each time I place my needle on him I smile. He is a cute pup. (Get another pup when you feel ready).
Your clean and tidy craft area has me inspired. But I've talked myself into finishing number 8 of the Farmhouse Christmas series while watching the Chicago Bears. But one of these days I am going to follow your lead and clean and organize. I will probably find things that I have purchased years ago!

Wow! You've accomplished an awe inspiring amount this week. A clean and organized stitch studio and amazing progress on this project. I can't believe how much you get done in a week. You've got me thinking about cleaning out my craft room and starting again on a project that's languishing. You're the best!

ReplyDeleteI am always amazed at how much you accomplish when I seem to fumble & stumble about & plan to do so many things alas so few actually get started never mind completed. LOL
I survived Hurricane Michael (thank God) with minimal mess & damage. There are many small branches & a lot of tree moss down that needs to be cleaned up & put into the burn pile but I can't seem to find the energy to do it. Just looking out the windows makes me shudder. I know once I start I'll be glad I did. 30 min to an hour should get some work done & if I do a little every day it will be manageable for me.
Coni - when you're stitching with the variegated green thread, do you complete one stitch at a time, rather than work in rows in order to preserve the integrity of the varigation?

Megan, my friend has a stitching shop. The companies who make & sell specialty threads like Weeks Dye Works, etc, advise to make a completed x when stitching with it so that you can take full advantage of the dye variations in the threads. It took me awhile to get used to that as I'm a / stitcher then back to cross. Haha! But true art is subjective to the artist so no method is "wrong!" I just LOVE stitching!
