  1. Pretty! I love samplers where the border is interrupted by motifs.

  7. That is just lovely, I hand quilt, which is very enjoyable, calming and creates beautiful texture and patterns but I think your stitching would be like colouring in with threads. ..sooo relaxing, careful, creative and artistic with your choice of colours and years of expertise in tension and precise placement.
What amazing gifts these projects are when finished, to be treasured by a kindred spirit and loved and enjoyed instead of being poked away in a drawer like some finished projects.
Such joy to be had by the maker and the lucky one who gets to appreciate the beautiful work.
I have made most of my Quilts for family and friends , it is wonderful to see them used and cherished.

  13. I've been loving your progress on this one. I just finished a large sampler this morning. I've been debating for days as to what next. Finally settled on a one from The Drawn Thread. I have been hesitating because hers tend to require more brain power than I think I have at the moment.

Unlike the cover of the leaflet, your photo makes me want to make this one NOW. It has languished in the stash for years. So as soon as I get my work done this morning, I am off to dive for supplies.

  16. Congrats! It is lovely!

Oh and I have to tell you. I had the most wonderful dream about you the other night. You had a group of us over for a day of stitching. It was an absolutely wonderful time but I got no stitching done because I just stared and talked to you the whole time haha. Creepy or what? Anywho I am sure that is what I would be like in real life too so fair warning if we ever should happen to meet :)
