The almost true exploits of an intrepid spinster and her stitching...and all of the things that make up her crazy, happy, quiet little life.
Rest in peace.
I seem to remember her as a needlepointer who carried handwork on the long campaign trails. Rest in Peace, Mrs. B.
Amen. Some things should transcend politics and geography. Well said Coni.
It was quite inspiring looking through some of her life's photos last night.
I couldn’t agree with you more.
Agreed! She was a breath of fresh air, determined but not obnoxious. She showed class and graciousness. She will be missed.
I agree 100%.
She was an amazing woman. She will definitely be missed.
I remember her needlepointing a rug. I chuckle thinking that she probably got the Secret Service guys to carry her rug on and off Air Force One so she could work on it during the flights.
Mrs. Bush was a true lady, a worthy role-model and a wonderful leader. Also I so admire her faith in choosing 'comfort care' for the end of her life. Godspeed Mrs. Bush. :) prayers, ♥ Cathryn
You are so right! She was a beautiful lady with class, dignity, strength & a stitcher to boot! I remember seeing that article on the beautiful rug she needlepointed, took her 9 years & she put personal memories in it, like her grandchildren's initials. What a wonderful woman!
She came from the era of the great generation and we arenot likely to see again womanhood exemplified as she portrayed it; with aplomb, grace and humor..... a class act. Live and rest in peace, dear lady.
She was indeed!
Classy lady. RIP.
A great lady, mother and American! God bless!
