SUNDAY SPINSTER BLISS

The Sunday papers...complete with ads and coupons from the Michael's:

A notebook from Erin Condren with my name on it that I found during the re-org and in which I am now keeping stitchy notes... Hello, Flsstube inspiration!

And my progress on Forest Snowfall...coming along nicely, I think:

So that's my morning thus far.  A little punk, but methinks that is to be expected on Sundays.  Either that or I've picked something up again...ick.

The sun is shining, and the birds are tweeting sweetly elsewhere (somewhere warm, I presume).  I hope your corner of the world is full of everything you love and that your needles are flying!

  1. Today I watched The Godfather on Netflix - I believe they have the trilogy - one of the best movies ever made in my opinion. I drank red wine while I watched it (I did fast forward past the horse's head scene). While I watched I prepped for chicken stew - this is the most flavorful chicken stew recipe I have ever made and the gravy is sooo smooth - https://www.littlebroken.com/2016/10/11/one-pot-chicken-stew/ Now I am drinking more wine while the stew simmers. Some more stitching coming up - I joined The Silver Needle stitching circle and am just finishing up the first delivery which was "F is for Friend Thread Board" from Heartstrings Samplery. Joining that group has been worth every cent. Such a nice surprise every two months. So that's what I'm up to!

  2. Coni! Are you going to start a flosstube channel? If you are, I would LOVE that. I've considered doing it too but can't seem to pull the trigger. I'd have to get camera equipment (I don't have a fancy smartphone), and even worse, it might cut into my stitchy time. Your blog has inspired me to do so many fun projects...I can think of ten off the top of my head that can be directly attributed to you. I think you'd make a fabulous flosstuber.

Hugs and love to you, and I hope they perfect your dialysis soon so you can enjoy life with a bit more energy.

    1. Hi, Violet! No way, no how with me and the Flosstube. I'm a watcher...definitely not a poster. This camera shy introvert would be a sweaty mess of hives chattering like a circus monkey with small bits of stitching thrown in. Nope...not this portly spinster.

    2. Well, ok then. As long as you keep blogging so I have some place to see your beyond-fabulous stitching, and hear snippets of your life. :)

  3. Coni, how do you like stitching on the polka dot fabric? Anything good or fun in the Michael's ad? What a cool notebook you found and are going to use for stitch notes. Good for you! Take care and stay warm!

  5. Hi Coni,
Is the polka dot fabric a linen fabric? Where did you find it, I've never seen it available in my local stores.

    1. Hi, Diane! I bought this fabric at Erica's in South Bend, but I think you can also get it at 1-2-3 Stitch.
