DAMNIT, GUMBY

I've been trying to upload a blog post all darn day today, but Blogger kerps giving me an error message that says "Error 500".  Anybody out there know what the heck this means?  Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear...please tell me that there's nothing catastrophic going on.

  1. I’m so sorry, Coni. I’m guessing an internally corrupted file. Contact Blogger, or if your feeling like a super cyber chick type “Blogger Error 500” into Google and see if you can’t fix things on your end.

Wish I could help more, but this isn’t a baking or cross stitch question. No stitching for me today, but I’m hoping I’ll have some spare time later this week.

  3. Sorry, I'm not a techy either. But how strange you can load your plea, but not your post. Tell those blogger people that there are millions of stitchers waiting for an update!!!

  4. the 500 Internal Server Error is a server-side error, meaning the problem probably isn't with your computer or internet connection but instead is a problem with the website's server, in this case Blogger. Try to refresh and see if that helps and/or clean out the cache and see if that helps. The fact that you can type this post tells me your site is working so that is a good sign. :)

  6. I don`t know what the error means, but did you change your template/background colour? I am getting a totally different looking blog...

  7. Coni, I read two other bloggers that have mentioned they are getting this same error 500. They are very frustrated also. Hope it gets fixed for you soon. Melissa

  9. You might try starting from a different browser. Also, if you're using an iPad try using your computer.

  10. I've run across another blog having the same problem; she's using email to upload pics. I'm not sure what she means by that, but maybe it'll give you an idea on something to try. http://quiltville.blogspot.com/2018/01/january-quilty-box-birthday-gift-away_23.html

  11. Bonnie Hunter was having the same problem, so it was probably something to do with Blogger.
