AHHHHH, PHOOEY ON ALL OF IT.

If you have a moment, please head on over to Miss Em's new blog at: http://www.thesewhappystitcher.blogspot.com and say hello.  She is delightful and has launched today.  WooHoo!

Now on to the phooey:
Still can't post pictures to this here blog.

Blood pressure 190/110 upon arrival in the chair today. Buzzy, Beepy, and Midge (the blood pressure cuff) are not getting along and are making me a bit nuts.

Sad and testy conversations at CS2 and just wanting to "go home"...weepy, sad, angry, hot mess express today.  Better get over it toot sweet, or Betty will rear her ugly head and tell me to quit my bitching.

What can I say?  Every now and then I guess I just need to have a Wednesday.

OK...Adele and I are going to just chill out for a minute here and regroup.  Don't mind me, folks.  All will be well once again, I'm sure.

  1. Hey Coni,

You just go ahead and have a day and regroup. Hope that the rest of your week goes better!!

  2. "sad and testy conversations etc." hope it involved just
negotiating with blogger. Not worth your aggravation and elevated BP...Your frustration is understandable, but your welfare more important...it will resolve, dear
heart. Just put Blogger on notice that they are getting
some woeful cyberspace publicity. Regroup and recover.

  3. I'm sorry to hear that your Wednesday is being so, well, Wednesday-ish!!! We all have them so I'm guessing it's just your turn... sucks but there you have it. Hope all in B/P land gets better and you get some quality chair time this evening.
    Hugs for now...

  4. I agree with Joan. Go ahead and let yourself be angry/sad/miserable/afraid/hopeless. You can only push strong emotions away for so long before they'll find a way to damage you. Feel all the feels, m'dear, then get up and keep on livin' the best you can.

Hey, have you ever thought of getting yourself a stuffed animal to hold? It's not for everyone because some people think it's too childish, but when the worst of my disease kicks in it's nice to have something to squeeze and hug. Plus the soft fur can be a very tactile comfort. I recommend going with a high quality stuffed animals though...Mary Meyer does some good ones. I have a large pink bear and a large white/brown puppy (they come in different colors and smaller sizes too) from MM. Both are totally soft and squishy:

    1. oops...here's the right link to the "large" size puppy (which in my estimation is actually a medium sized stuffed animal):

    2. Oh, I love Mary Meyer stuffed animals! My aunt and uncle lived next door to their store/factory and Aunt Martha worked there for a while. I loved walking across the field to go hang out in the store...they were always so friendly and inviting there. I still have a few of my MM stuffed animals over 40 years later! This is my first time posting, Coni...but I've been reading for a while. Wishing you all good things!

    3. What a cool story Dawn! I have many MM stuffies, probably around 10-15. To live across the street from their stuffie factory...my god! I'd have no money and a houseful of teddies. It'd be awesome, but it'd also be my downfall. Thanks for sharing. :)

  5. I second Violet Stitches' comments about Feel the feels and have something to hug/squeeze/cry/sniffle onto etc. Here is my version (my son ordered something different and by mistake they sent Babo. I almost immediately took him for myself as he saw me through my cat's relatively sudden death during a hurricane force blizzard. He can be pillow, humorous buddy, cry slave, sleep bringer and can be disinfected if need be in the laundry. I never had anything before him! http://www.uglydolls.com/p/babo You have been through so much and I love the name Midge for the BP cuff! Onward and upward.....hugs, Robyn

  7. I hope you feel better soon! I don't think you are the only person having trouble with blogger, if that is any comfort. Do what you need to do to take care of yourself. Sometimes that means having a snit or two to release some suppressed anxiety.

  8. Hope you're better soon. Sometimes it helps to watch a sad movie and just have a good cry.

  9. Have a good cry , wallow for a day and then put on your big girl pants and move on. I know its really hard to do especially when you don't feel good and CS1 is cl9se a hand. Perhaps if it was empty and sold it would get easier as it wouldn't be there o feel like an option. When you feel up to it it would be something to consider. Praying your feeling better soon.
    Hugs

  10. Would a dose of P G Wodehouse help? Jeeves and Bertie Wooster often do it for me --- after you have had a little weep to get rid of the black dog. God bless, dearie, hugs, Charlotte

  14. As my hubby told our 16 yr old daughter this morning, "Sometimes we all just have a bad day." I'm sorry today was yours. I hope things are better when you wake up tomorrow, but you know what?, if they aren't, just hang in there. Things will improve eventually. Thinking of you and wishing the best for you.

  18. I hope the docs get your meds figured out, there are few things as frustrating! I have been fighting vertigo for two weeks and am nearly at the end of my rope. The doctor and I disagree on what is causing it. Can`t stay awake and feel like he** when I am...as for yearning to go home, well think of it as you would be going backwards. Look forward dear Coni...look forward. ((((hugs))))
