SATURDAY SPINSTER...HMMMMMM

The first flower (the red and orange "mum") went pretty well, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to add a third layer of loops.  So, two it is for now.

As for the yellow flower, for some reason I didn't have an orange felt button left, so I went with yellow:

Here's what the yellow is supposed to look like:

Last night I contemplated my options and thought I was going to swap out the yellow button for one of the orange ones I already used, but this morning I'm thinking of just leaving it alone for now.  So....methinks I will finish the entire piece before I decide what to do.

The sun is shining and the birds are tweeting sweetly today, so we're off to a good start.

What's new with you?

  4. Truly, you do amazing stitching. I am in awe of your talent, here I am just doing cross stitch with an occasional lantern stitch . The other day I tried a satin stitch and thought I would scream! Love your work.
