MY SISTER'S PRAYER

"You know what, Coni Jo?  When something like this happens, I don't pray that it never happens to me.  I pray that if it does, God will give me the strength to get the bad guy, run in to help, or give comfort to somebody who needs it."

...said by Aunt Chrissy

After Tucson.
And after Aurora.
And after Newtown.
And after Boston.

  2. I was impressed, when watching the coverage, with the number of people who did not run away but ran toward the disaster to help. All of these incidents prove that there are crazies in the world but it also proves there are many more amazing, selfless people who are our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, and neighbors. I prefer to embrace the heros and heroines and dismiss the crazies.

  7. As a retired paramedic, I know what it takes to run toward danger when most run away. Those in Boston deserve our praise!

Add West, Texas to the list - at least 5, and possibly more, of the first responders are dead, and many more injured.
