I'LL TAKE "SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME" FOR TWO HUNDRED, ALEX

Note to self: If you decide to wire seventeen thousand ornaments to the tree next year because "Surely, that's the way Martha does it", you need to be taken out to the back yard and smacked about the face repeatedly with a two by four.

I've been un-wiring ornaments from the *@#()&% Christmas tree for the last nine hours and I'm not even half way through yet.

(And yes, in the event you were wondering....I exaggerate for effect, people. It's how I roll.)

  8. If you wait another month, or so, the tree will be so dried out it will crumble and all you have to do is collect the ornaments and sweep up the debris. And, why isn't Stewey helping?

  9. Don't beat yourself up! Yes, that probably IS the way Martha would do it... but she has paid staff that does it for her, and they have the hideous job of undoing it after Christmas. Aren't we glad Christmas only comes around once a year? ;-) I'm sure your tree was exquisite! ~ Lorraine

  10. Ugh, I never thought of wiring ornaments onto the tree, but then I've never had a pet that would knock them off either. Hopefully the rest of the tree goes faster so you can get back to stitching.
