ONE STEP FORWARD, A FEW STEPS BACK

So I was humming right along on Daisy when it occurred to me that you could not see the lettering because the green for the stem and leaves is too dark. The silk is lovely...don't get me wrong. It's just a very dark green that decided it wanted to swallow the lettering.

A few minutes with the seam ripper and we're good as new. Now all I need to do today is find a lighter shade of green silk and finish'er up! Woo Hoo!

  1. Couldn't believe you'd unpicked that until I looked back at the photo you posted last time and saw what you meant. Good decision.
Love the blog and the stitching.

  2. Good call on changing shades of green. I am truly impressed by your frog stitch mastery. Are we getting ready for another happy dance?

  4. I see what you mean bu the words being 'swallowed' by the stem. On the cover of the pattern the stem and leaves look much paler, don`t they?

I am having much the same problem wit my sampler...the leaves and stems of flowers are not standing out and being swallowed by the grass...I have been ripping too...

  7. Your La D Da Heart is coming along well and I agree that the other green was a bit too dark. I was given the set of 3 hearts by a dear friend and there is a photo in my album in the gifts bit, if you care to follow the link.

  8. Back to the Tudors--Amazon has a new free Kindle book, Secrets of the Tudor Court by D. L. Bogdan. It is historical fiction and sounds good.
