ALMOST THERE

I did frog the top border and re-stitched it properly. Whew. That really feels better! I also re-worked the corners a bit so that the edges would be a little better. Not sure if it looks right, but apparently I was so "off" in the vase and flowers that it threw the border. Damn.

Stewey and I would like to wish all of you a very Happy Valentine's Day. We hope that you will spend it with someone that you love, and if they're not available, please put on a pot of tea, and we'll be right over! Kiss Kiss, y'all!

  6. Your piece is looking so good and don't you feel better now that the ripping is done??? You said this is a Blackbird design. Is it still available? was it a single chart or in a book??? or was it a limited edition? I've looked for it and can't seem to find it

  7. It's bee-oo-tiful! I try whenever possible to work around mistakes, and it doesn't bother me if it's not quite perfect.

  9. I'd love to have you and Stewie over for tea! If only we lived closer...ha. Don't know how Stewie would feel about my three cats tho.

Your stitching is turning out great, even tho you had to make adjustments.

    Happy Valentine's Day.

  11. By the time you and Stewey fly downunder Valentine Day would be over. However the pot of tea is always on offer if you ever find yourself in this part of the world.

Hope both you and Stewey have a great Valentine's Day and get some time to snuggle up together.

    Best wishes,
    Gail

  14. Thanks for the comment on my blog. :) You crack me up! I'd LOVE to throw back a couple of DD cup o'joes with you! We could give the pups both a chewy and stitch to our hearts' content. Ah, if only. ;)

Your Strawberry Garden looks great. I hear you on the 'if I don't rip it out the mistake, will anybody know?'. I did that with a border on Mary Allen, tried to fudge it and just made it worse. I tried leaving it in but had to rip it out in the end. Urgh. You're nearly at a finish, though. YGG!
