Please, please, please be safe and well, Dearies. If you are in this heat, take all of the precautions. As for Yours Truly...it's me, the A/C, and vats and vats of water today (and for the foreseeable future)!
Stay close to your dear friend, the lovable A/C. Weather is crazy! Here in SE Idaho we had a freeze warning this morning...while four days ago it was 94. It will warm up again in a couple of days. It was gorgeous weather for walking later this morning though...
Wowie zowie Coni, I looked up the temp for your town today...yikes! Here in SoCal we certainly get some whopping hot weather, but that is usually a bit later I the year. September & October can have scorcher days of heat...also November. I have had ham on Thanksgiving when the forecast is for 90 degrees. Yuck. My secret? Have a cool large pail/bowl of water and dunk your feet. Amazing how quickly you feel cooler & better. Wishing g you cooler temps in the near future. xoxo
A couple of days ago it was 114 f at my place on the west side of Tucson, AZ. (44.5 c) I call this my "winter" and do indoor winter projects this time of year. We will cool down some when the monsoon kicks in but then our humidity will go up...ewww. Stay safe and hydrated Coni. Hugs from the Sonoran Desert.
I'm drinking the vats of water and ice and plopped in front of a fan. Our A/C went out on Sunday night and they are supposed to come look at it (and hopefully fix it) at 6 today. Thinking of you, Coni!
I don't go anywhere without my emotional support tumbler of iced coffee, but I do drain it pretty quickly & switch to ice water in this weather! The cat gets ice cubes in his water dish too.
Our geothermal unit is not working and needs replacing. So we're doing the box fan in the window thing. I absolutely love air conditioning, hate the heat!
