BACK IN A FLASH

Rich is getting a new hip tomorrow, so I will be hither and yon for a few days, Dearies. Much to my complete surprise, it is an outpatient procedure and will not require any physical therapy, so keep the happy thought that I can manage his care without sedatives, a large rubber mallet, or law enforcement getting involved.

If you see the bat signal in the skies over Hoosierville, please send Tylenol and a vat of cold brew.

  1. That is the way to go…..had my hip replaced with the procedure five years ago with minimal problems except living alone . Best wishes for speedy recovery for both of you! A large mallet also is recommended especially when dealing with the males of the species….just in case

  7. Outpatient?! Wow. I hope all goes well with Jersey Boy's surgery and that the creeping cruds stay away from both of you for the recovery (and beyond).

  8. I was surprised also that this surgery is often outpatient. May you both stay well as Rich recovers and you assist.

  9. He'll do well if you're his nurse. Especially if you have the help of the mallet. If he needs a hip to cry on, send him to me. I've had two of those.
