THURSDAY HANGOVER

I had a particularly rough treatment yesterday, so came home and donned pajamas and watched The Crown:

Did my nails in a nice Christmas red (Rouge Red Vinylux from CND):

And had tea:

So no stitching to report, I'm afraid, but I'll remedy that today once chores are completed. But first, there's lots of Damn Good to be slurped and the paper to be read and Instagrams to be enjoyed.

What's new and exciting in your corner of the world?

  1. I went to the Dr. today and for the first time in.... years I am only 4.2 pounds from my lowest weight since I had my RNY (Gastric by-pass) in 2009! I've been up and down but in the last year I stopped drinking (A no-no for RNY patients) and lost over 50# of regain! Yes, its still hard work and gastric by=- pass is not the cheaters way to lose weight however I was almost 400# in 2009.

  2. Coni -- your hands, not just the nails, are not just skilled but beautiful! And the red accents it!

    1. Susan, you might need to adjust your specs, Dearie! But...thank you for the lovely compliment. I wish I had my mom's hands, but alas, I think I got my dad's.

But these hands are "strong like bull" and able to hold a needle and thread and chop vegetables and...do other hand things, so no complaints!

  3. I have come to decide that what I enjoy most when reading your news is the way you describe your coffee! I LOVE coffee Coni, every night I go to bed with the happy thought of the next day coffee. I hope us to have a coffee together sometime!

  4. We have BAD weather week in Reykjavik, low temperatures and strong wind. But as long as there are books, knitting and coffee, it is more than enough for me.

    1. 38 degrees Celsius here yesterday. Want to send some cold over to Queensland? I have knitting to do and I’m sticking to the wool. 😂

  6. Naughty hangover! Hope it has gone away by now. But it sounds like you had a restful day and doing nails is very therapeutic. Not much going on here - wet and miserable, but we didn't get the high winds they warned about! Bonus! Extra bonus the sun came out later in the afternoon. Double bonus! Being positive! Today we are supposed to get snow. We have rain. No sledging yet then! Hope you have a great Friday! xx

  7. Everywhere I looked this past week The Crown has been popping up. I guess I need to give in and watch it. Love your nails and I hope you are feeling better today!
