HELL WEEK

Gird your loins, Dearies!

This is going to be a tough week of treatments, appointments, colonoscopies, mammograms, and other unpleasant shenanagins.

And the cherry on top of the sundae is the weather...temperatures in the high 90's and low 100's with beastly humidity to boot.

Ugh.

But...today has dawned and Buzzy and I are doing our thing here in the d-chair. My poor tech is fretting because my arm is so swollen she can't get the needles in without having to push with all her might, thus sending me into orbit when she finally breaks through.

Jiminy Crickets.

I made really nice progress on Elliana, but alas, forgot to take a picture. I willtry to do so tonight when I take her off the q-snaps and run the edges of the fabric through the sewing machine. I was so excited to get her started that I neglected to do this, and now the fabric is fraying.

Yikes!

Nothing else to report. I might be hit and miss with the blogging this week, but please don't worry. I promise a full reportas soon as I'm able!

  1. I will be rooting for you to survive with only frayed edges...nothing that a good weekend with some damn good and rest can't fix. Seriously, my thoughts are with you.

  2. Sorry to hear it's going to be a week full of unpleasant appointments on top of your usual treatments. I hope all goes well! I love your Elliana piece- such gorgeous colors! Take care, you're in my prayers.

  3. Yikes -- a mammogram OR scope would be a challenging week. Both in the same week, in hot & humid weather, seems cruel and unusual. I'll be thinking of you.

  4. My friend, thank God, even "Hell Week" comes ONE DAY AT A TIME. Refuse to anticipate tomorrow. Prayers and love from Marcia.

  5. Oooh so many oochies! Almost like a virtual reality game where you have to parry and fight then start all over again!
I hope the rest of the week goes smoothly and that your hangover isn't too bad - I quite understand the stress you must feel when your arm is a pin cushion - and then some! Take care xxx

  8. Bless your quaking heart! As one person replying said, it will be one day at a time. Best not dread the next one. That said -- ugh. Especially the colon-skippy, as my brudder calls it. I'm overdue for one. Once the prep is over, the procedure is cake. Sorta.
