WE HAVE ISSUES. CLEARLY. WE DO. (EDITED)

I really should have explained that the bounty above is only partially my fault. I am taking full responsibility for the household items, tea, and damn good.  The crap on the counter? That's all Magoo, my friends. If I'm stress eating, then he is certainly guilty of stress shopping down the wrong damn aisles of the Martins.

(But I might or might not have hidden twelve Oreos in the bottom of the freezer in case of an emergency.)

  1. I went by Tuesday morning several times this month ... buying chocolate. They closed a few days before Mandatory. I missed the last day they were open.
When I finish all the Lindt/Giradhelli/dove I will just have to make cookies.

Hang in there Coni. I enjoy all your stitching .. that is how I found your blog int he first place.

  2. Coni, sweetie, buy all the sweet treats you like, just make sure they don't have high fructose corn syrup. HFCS is bad for you even if you are a person who is healthy. Way worse if you have health issues. (Regular corn syrup isn't so great for you either.) I'm surprised your nutritionist hasn't suggested you steer clear of it. Not judging, just want you to get that new kidney.

  9. Oh dear! LOL! I don't get chocolate much nowadays - if it is there and I know it is there it won't be there much longer! But we ran out of popping corn. Oh my the world ended! Just knowing those hard little yellow lumps are in the cupboard for that "I need something that will fill but not pile on pounds" moment.
    Genius at freezing Oreos!
Day 12 and sunny! Not windy either! Very frosty at the moment so I need to go and break the ice for the ducks - although they seem to be more interested in my wildlife pond. We have toad and frog spawn - and two types of newt (but not the rarest one) so I have to keep an eye on the birds! No ducklings yet. Time is getting close now!

  10. I try to stay out of the candy aisle. But that's where the Dove and Lindt is, so sometimes I must go and maintain laser focus on those. IMHO, they should move the GOOD chocolate to the pharmacy department.

  12. Before they remodeled and re-arranged things in the Food Lion, the candy shared the same aisle as the coffee/tea/cereal. Good idea on freezing the Oreos!

  13. I gave up chocolate for Lent. I only messed up once but I can't wait until Easter when the kids get chocolate bunnies. I also have three boxes of Thin Mints in the freezer.

  14. Gave up all that fahldeerol for lent, including chocolate...
HOWEVER, my daily protein shake is chocolate flavored, so my
penance may not count as penance. Such theological perplexity

  15. My only saving grace is I am ordering all my groceries online so all that good stuff isn't staring me in the face or my pantry would be full too :)

  16. Coni, thank you so much for clarifying. I feel better knowing the Twizzlers and M&Ms are for Magoo. Hope I didn't make you feel bad w/ my original comment. :(
