We're home from Mass, the car wash, the gas station, and the Bob Evans...where everybody is somebody special according to the poster on the wall. I am in clean fresh pajamas that I fished out of the bottom of a dresser drawer, and the laundry is happily sploshing away while JB watches the sports on the TeeVee and we contemplate going to the pool.
Here's my progress on Plum Pudding. This is the left center moteef...hopefully to be completed today!
It's going to be a steamy one, I think. If my weather thingie is correct, we're looking at a high temp of 86 today! Methinks that might be perfect stitchy weather, as long as there is some cold brew and the a/c on blast!
Happy Sunday, Dearies! Next week we're all meeting at Vonna's house for breakfast! Did you see the spread she put out!? Biscuits! And gravy! And eggs and bacon!
Vonna, when I finally drop dead (or get married...whichever comes first), will you supervise the caterers, please? 😬
I want some of those waffles that were part of that spread! We had less humidity here today which made it a tad more comfortable. PP is looking good. I'm off to put in some stitches on the Gold Finch block by The Prairie Schooler. Enjoy the rest of your day, Coni!
ReplyDeleteDear Coni,
ReplyDeleteJust so you know you're not the only wackadoo on the Monopoly board....
My sister came over this afternoon for what I'm sure she thought would be a pleasant afternoon of surprise crafting. (The crafting wasn't the surprise, but the crafting project was.)
Anyhoo, there SHE was pleasantly coloring, stenciling, and watercoloring in her art journal, blissfully unaware of the Vesuvius that was about to erupt in our very own little Pompei.
She became VERY aware after I slammed my fists on the table, screaming "I hate this! I'm just no good at anything!" and proceeded to tear the poor unsuspecting water color that I had been working on in half, after which I ripped my glasses off and threw them across the room and broke out into what you affectionately (?) call "the ugly cry".
Yes. Sad, I know. A 55 year old woman having a tantrum.....hmmm...more of an emotional breakdown really....due to frustration over an art project that was supposed to be FUN!
My sister, God love her, immediately got up and wrapped her arms around me while I cried and then said, "Well, I guess we better get some doughnuts!" And so we did. After which we stopped at the PLAYGROUND and played on the monkey bars (that was hysterical, I'm sure, for anyone who happened to be watching), slid down the slides, and did a couple of CARTWHEELS!!
And then went home, where we ate the doughnuts and resumed our craft time until hubby came home and it was time for dinner. We then ate our ritual dark chocolate together and she went home.
ReplyDeleteThere is more back story, but, basically, you see? We're all a little nuts. Hope you enjoyed reading about someone else's craziness for a change!

ReplyDeleteI love that! You're spot on, Coni--again!!
Is there anything Miss Vonna can't do?!! How lucky we all are to be surrounded by so many wonderful stitchy people!
