PHOOEY

A visit from the FROG resulted in this:

Three day's worth of happy stitching had to come out because of a error made all the way back at the beginning! I'm trying to remain philosophical about the whole thing...meaning, if I enjoyed stitching it the first time, imagine how much I will enjoy it a second, but...grrrrr.

The sun is shining and the birds are sweetly tweeting and I am off to dialysis. I have been struggling mightily with a major decision that needs to be made vis a vis my current team, so my tiny little brain has been preoccupied with the weight of it all. The truth of the matter is that I think I need to make a change to a different treatment center and care team, but I am pondering it carefully because it will involve a lot of change. (And we all know how much I like change). I just need to put aside the emotion of it all and do what is best for me in the long run, but pulling the trigger is proving to be harder than I thought.

Oh well....it will work itself out. I'm sure of it.

The weekend is upon us, Dearies! I have a clean slate of absolutely nothing to do other than stitch, read, rest, and enjoy! How about you?

  2. I have my normal weekend of catching up on housework and running errands with a Lenten retreat thrown in. I hope to get a bit of stitching in somewhere.

  4. I strongly dislike Mr Frog. I found yesterday a mistake I made in my piece. Thankfully, if I remain vigilant if where the error and count from the correct stitches, I'll be ok. I see that Grasshopper Pie does not give you that option. 😕 And this decision you must make, it sounds quite difficult. I'll add an extra prayer for best decisions and an easy transition.

  5. I hate when that happens with the mistakes......I smock and if you make an error you may not catch it right away but it comes back soon enough to bite you in the you know where.

  6. Sorry about the frog coming to visit! But GP is still gorgeous! Decisions of this type are hard and I will pray that it goes smoothly and easy for you. Enjoy your Saturday, Coni!

  7. May you have Divine guidance in your decision, Coni. You have
come so far and sorry to hear you might have to change tracks. I just made a minor count error on an historical sampler I am doing and decided to fudge...noticeable only to me and long back-tracking angst avoided. Mea culpa... Have
    a relaxing weekend.

  9. I'm reading this late because... my aol won't load and well... you know as well as anyone that life happens. Making any decision that majorly affects your own existence is always tough. But it sounds like you have been struggling with this for awhile and know you need to make a change but don't want to.... this is an issue that all of us have to make. The power of you is actually making that decision. 10 years ago on February 9th I woke up one morning and made the decision to have weight loss surgery at 59 years old. I went under on the 10th of February and have never looked back... however I first started exploring it the previous August. It took me that long to make the decision. I have never regretted it. I don't look back and say I shoulda, coulda I try to only move forward. Now I am struggling with selling my business and retiring. All big decisions are not made lightly and I think and hope that you make the decision for YOU and you only. Your health does not make you mean or selfish or an ego maniac... its your life and your job to make it the best darn life you can make. Pray, ponder and procrastinate. You'll come up with what is right with you Coni... and know we have your emotional back. My sister lives in Fort Wayne and if she needs to come over to you and kick your butt let me know. Yours in sweet spinster stitcherhood. Ruth in Oxnard Ca.
