HOLY LEFTOVERS, BATMAN!
This is normal for two people...right?
They really should make pills for this. Will I ever learn how to prepare a meal that wouldn't feed the Notre Dame offensive line and six assistant coaches?
Heavens to Elizabeth... looks like a grand time was had by all in the gourmet dept. I had my fill today - thank you, Lord, but your delectables, Coni, have my mouth watering. Just look how neat your leftovers are leftover.... Is JB still napping?
We are lucky people. I am thankful to be able to splurge. Being diabetic I have cut back on my eating so I dont cook much but I always over do it on Thanksgiving and today is no different. I will have to go back to usual tomorrow but today was pig out day. I hope you and yours had a wonderful day.
I think for Thanksgiving, this is actually pretty normal. It looks like most of this can be dished up into meals and frozen if you don't want to eat it for days. It all looks yummy.
I can't cook for only 2 either. However, I really love turkey, & only make the sides that I'd happily eat for breakfast, so nothing gets wasted. "Recipes for leftovers"? What are 'leftovers'? I just grab handfuls of turkey & shove it in my mouth! If I'm very restrained, there MIGHT be a turkey soup...
Well, you shouldn't have to cook for a few days. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI think that might feed the lineman....the coaches may go hungry! I hope that your Thanksgiving is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteOh my my! That sure looks good Coni. If I didn't live so far away I'd be over.

Yep - rest assured: absolutely normal. No, really! LOL
ReplyDeleteI hope you can freeze it in meal-sized portions and enjoy in the days and weeks to come.

Invite Notre Dame's Offensive Line over for dinner!
ReplyDeleteAs my brother-in-law put it, his spouse was only cooking for the 2 of them and so scaled back to enough food for only 6 people!

ReplyDeleteLeftovers!!!
ReplyDeleteAside from eating leftovers, my kitchen is closed for a few days. Your feast looks wonderful, Coni. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

ReplyDeleteWow!! You shouldn't have to cook for a week! :)
ReplyDeleteConi, that is some damn good! That's why they make freezers!
ReplyDeleteInvite my son's mother-in-law. She is guaranteed to hijack ALL of the leftovers.

ReplyDeleteLooks delicious! I love your stove! I can't just cook for the 3 of us, more like 6. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
