WEDNESDAY SCHLEPP...

My chair wasn't quite ready for me this morning, so I am parked in the outer lobby waiting for treatment. I thought I'd show you all of the crap I cart with me, thus qualifying me for true Bag Lady status:
The grey thingie is a cushion for my heiney, the blue is a neck pillow, the other blue is a blanket, and I think you can see my lapstand peeking out a bit. My stitchy project is in a project bag under the blanket. In the little bag are my snacks (grapes, peaches, cheese, crackers, and BelVita), a drink (diet Snapple half and half), socks, headphones, my iPad, cellphone, and lip stuff. I think I also have a couple of hand wipes and paper towels in there too, but they're at the bottom somewhere.

Have we reached a complete new low, Dearies? Here it is a lovely Wednesday in Hoosierville, and I'm writing about the stuff I cart to and fro to dialysis!

Oey.

Time to go...Buzzy and Beepy are ready for their date!  Ciao for now!

  1. If I ever rule the world, I shall require dialysis centers to have lockers for all the folks who must schlepp their stuff to and fro. And refrigerators with mini-lockers. And shampoos and hairstylists, and free massages, and beautiful gardens with window seats for all, and..... :) Wishing you an uneventful day in the chair. Juls

  3. Your bags of goodies remind me of the bags my best friend and I used to schlep to her chemo treatments for about 5 or 6 years. We both did needlework, so each of us would have a couple of projects. I'd have a bottle of water; she'd have a couple of drinks plus some snacks. And we'd both have handbags. Oi! Sadly, I now miss those days.

  4. Not too bad, sorry you have to schlepp this so frequently. My 8 hour infusion day has a similar roller bag, but I only have to go every 3 weeks. We stitchers find a way to bring our goodies...

  6. But you didn't mention the very best bit - the pants you're wearing!

    1. Thanks, Megan! Sitting in a chair for five hours requires no seams, lots of stretch, and total comfort! I have several pairs of these crazy leggings that I found on the amazons, and I wear them with a big comfy tunic top.

      My fellow patients love them!

  10. Haha! You crack me up. Definitely not a low as I am sure I am not the only one interested to see what all you take with you. It is too bad they don't have a locker for you to leave your stuff there so you don't have to cart it back and forth every time.
