SERENDIPPITTY....

I've been using the brace and the roll on stuff on my thumb, and this was in this morning's coopuns:

I confess that I didn't buy this brand last week...it was three times the price of the IcyHot at my local CVS, and since I'm a spinster on a budget I opted for the less expensive alternative. Based on the results, though, methinks the BioFreeze would be better.

So as soon as the IcyHot runs out...off I go with coopun in hand!

Quiet weekend thus far. I did manage to get some exercise in the pool last night, but missed stitchy time because said exercise wore me out and I fell asleep on the couch in front of a baseball game on the TeeVee.

Today is a new day, though, so I am upright and in the Happy Chair...determined to get a few stitches in before nap time!

Man...I really personify that eat...sleep...stitch thing, don't I?

So, Dearies? What's new in your neck of the woods? Come tell me all about it!

  1. Eat Stitch Sleep.....how bad can it be... especially if one adds in a,book or two or three. Sleep is good for a body, both physically and mentally. Enjoy!

  4. Eating implies shopping and cooking. Stitching would be wonderful, but I've committed to knitting a twin-set of which I've finished the sleeveless top's back and half the front, so not yet. Sleep is never a problem. But planning is! I've had a picture for a long time that I've wanted to turn into NP for a friend; I've got a Russian cathedral and the Jerusalem skyline to do for another friend; and now I want to do a double portrait like a Janus head showing someone's younger and older selves. And I can't get at them, because, knitting. Grrr. Do some stitching for me, Coni, there's a dear!

  5. I have bad arthritis in my thumbs from many years of quilting and stitching, and holding my little hoop. While topicals can bring temporary relief, I have been taking Cosamin DS for years now and I cannot tell you of the difference it has made for me. Of course, it is a supplement, and would have to be cleared by your docs, but personally speaking, it has taken my thumbs that hurt so bad I almost couldn't move them to pain free. I can sure tell when I run out and don't take it for a couple of weeks! Best of luck, nothing like uncooperative body parts!

  6. Hope you have had a good day, Coni! I haven't seen that Bio Freeze stuff so will look for it the next time I'm at the store.

  7. I'm glad you found the coupons. Biofreeze is more expensive but I find it works better than the other brands. It also last a long time. I've shared it with many people and they've all gotten relief from headaches, back pain, muscle spasms, etc. Also the scent dissipates after a few minutes so we don't smell like an "old person" that we may or may not be!!! Hope it gives you relief.
