BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WAIT FOR...

OK.

Now I really am spooked by the prospect that Fate Her Very Self is reading this here blog.

Yesterday, in the midst of the sky falling down on my head, I mentioned that I was waiting for the frogs and locusts to appear.

Guess what showed up at 10:30 last night?

(For the non-stitchers in Spinster Nation, all of those tiny holes in the linen next to the red section mean that I spent the better part of the day yesterday putting stitches in, and then spent the better part of the evening taking them out. We call this frogging...because you rippit, rippit, rippit.)

I seem to have summoned calamity upon myself just by mentioning its very name!

Today is already a bit of a mess, because I burned my toast, broke the handle thingie on the bathroom faucet, slipped and banged my knee on the side of the tub, and upchucked my cranberry juice all over the front of my eighteen year old pajamas. And the best part is that I managed to accomplish all of this before 8:00 because I had the bright idea to get out of the big girl sleigh bed and start the day at a semi-normal hour, rather than stay put until hunger or a full bladder forced me to do otherwise.

It's just not easy being me.

I have an appointment at 1:00 today, but then it's straight home to the couch and clean pajamas, laundry, and stitching. I might tuck RVC into the naughty corner for a minute and start a new project, but I have a few hours to decide that.

In the middle of the night last night I thought about a September rotation...10 Fall projects rotated every 3 days. I don't think I've ever done that kind of thing before, but it seemed like a good way to make some progress on long-languishing projects.

Besides...Falll stitching is my very favorite, so putting hands on 10 pieces over the course of a month sounds absolutely delightful!

Enough blathering. Thank you for listening, Dearies.  If you get a minute, please ask St. Whoseywhatsits to look out for me today....methinks I might need it!

  1. My theory is that things happen in threes and then stop for awhile. So you've got your three (and then some). "Theroretcally" you should have a great rest of the day. Hope so.

  7. I do hope that things get/got better for you, Coni. I have an odd question....why is the font at the bottom of your post different from the rest of the post?

  8. Ooo....nurse practitioner hat on here....combination renal disease and need for steroids...watch out in the future for osteoporosis!! Seems far away now, but it’s really a nasty thing. I watched my mama suffer with lots of spinal fractures. Soldier on!
