A LITTLE CHANGE OF SCENERY ON A FUTZINGDAY...

Thank you for your well wishes for my adventure yesterday. I am happy to report that they worked, because I managed not to pull a full-on Tony Soprano right there on the table and panic, the doc was superb, and the entire team thought it hilarious that my "happy place" was a conference room in a mid-level city overlooking a lake with good lighting, lots of damn good, and the Spinster Nation gathered 'round with needles and threads.

Today I get to skip dialysis and let Buzzy heal a bit, so I am on the couch with necessities at hand and a plan to do nothing but rest and heal for the duration.

If the weather and my energy levels cooperate, I will venture down to the treadmill a little later and then come home for a big salad and a nap...probably in that order.

Just a little stitching last night...but I am still on track for my Monogomania plan!

There would have been more were it not for the binge of Southern Charm episodes and a Real Housewives reunion. My teevee viewing has been all sports all the time lately, so it was time for a little Bravo therapy while Lovey is away. (Is it wrong that it almost felt a little naughty?)

So there you have it, Dearies. All the news from Lake WoeBeSpinster. I hope your very own Futzingday is futzy and that you get to...you know.

  1. Happy Spring Coni: I am curious why you are able to skip dialysis, I always thought if you did that you had to go always, just curious.
Love your stitching, you do such beautiful work, I like your needlepoint works also.
I am a binge weather myself, mostly Live PD I record it and binge, also I binge on Frasier and Friends, I watch them over and over again.

P.S. I do watch other programs.

  3. Coni, yes, it is wrong to feel that Bravo isn't as worthy as sports! Fortunately, my guy loves the housewives as much as I do so there's no conflict there. He watches soccer matches, football and baseball in a different room when they're on.

  6. Sounds like the team yesterday had a sense of humor and
willing to break the professional frown and laugh along
with you. Better, that you get the day off to do what
strikes your fancy. If it is Bravo, so be it..one cannot live on sports alone. Enjoy..

  7. My hubby will be gone for 3 weeks and I have so many plans. Lunches, dr's appts for Mom, but then playing afterward, sleeping in, eating what I want and controlling the remote!!!!! I may even get the rest of the Downton Abbey series finished. I've had the DVD's forever. Oh and stitching whenever I want.

  8. Enjoy your Futzing Day, Coni! Happy to hear that you have a day or two to let Buzzy recover. Your 'happy place' sounds like just the ticket. I bet you had to explain the term 'Spinster Nation'. I think the conference room would end up being the entire floor of a convention center to accommodate all of us who are part of Spinster Nation. Enjoy your day!

  9. I'm knitting a Hitchhiker scarf for a friend, and enjoying the color changes on my Zauberball - pretty colors are such fun! I've discovered Big Dreams, Small Spaces on Netflix. Not quite as much fun as Great British Baking Show, but still easy with nobody out to really get anybody, which is about my speed these days.
