MARCH MADNESS...

"Start something small" I said.

"Put together a basket full of simple, easy things to stitch"  I said.

Two hours of futzing, and this is what I came out with:

I've had this one in my stash for quite some time and now seems like the perfect time to jump in. I'm going to stitch this on a lovely piece of 28ct. Fog linen from Picture This Plus, and the threads are:

Julian by Weeks Dye Works. I figure the mixture of light green and lavendar are very springy indeed.

A little shopping yesterday resulted in getting my daily walk in despite the weather. I matched my steps and managed to get my shampoo and other Target items at the same time. Shopping as exercise...who knew?!

So that's it for a Friday. Heading to chair time in a few and then home to veggie pizza and my Jersey Boy!  (And maybe a new stitchy start!)

Come tell me all about your day, Dearies!  WooHoo!

  1. Coni dear this pattern looks fabulously intricate. I should be beautiful when done. Looking forward to seeing your work on this.
My knee is worse than I thought
All cartilage gone bone has been grinding bone for so long it's ground away enough that the joint is lopsided. Yes, it hurts like hell.😖 Also full of arthritis & bone spurs all over.
Dr said "how are you still walking & driving with your knee like this". I told him "I close my eyes & pray" LOL
Then he said he was retiring in MAY! Also he was booked up until retirement. 😑 So of course now they have to transfer me to someone else 😣
Looks like I get stuck waiting untill after June 9 & my baby boys wedding but at least I'll still be able to wear a dress.
I never see ladies who have knee replacement wearing dresses. I live in Fl & wear shorts, dresses & shorts with an occasional pair of jeans.too hot for jeans (at least for me) all the time. y'all please pray for minimal scarring on this & if anyone knows of a cream or lotion that would help PLEASE tell me. I wish my momma were here she'd know what to use.
    Have a blessed Friday

    1. I have two fake knees - love them. Yes there will be scars, but no pain IF you do the physical therapy religiously. The therapy can be painful, but take a pain pill and do it!!! One of mine is 25 years and counting- one wore out after 2o years and had to be re-replaced - no pain now. I feel that scars are honorable wear and tear - we earned them.

    2. I had my right knee replaced almost three years ago. Was so glad I did. Will also need to do the lft, but not yet. I have a nice long scar, but I don't care. There are products you can use to minimize it. Mine isn't red and ugly, but clean. I wear dresses and shorts all the time. Most of the dresses are below the knee but I have a few just above. I don't worry about it and I don't think stares at it either. If you need the surgery, go for it. Maybe the doctor can refer you to another good surgeon so that you don't have to wait so long.

    3. I've a meet with the new Dr 3-12 & he has openings in April.
I don't mind the PT, I've done it often enough. I have so many scars from surgeries & my legs were the last clean place & still sexy to boot. Lol I'd rather the scar & pain free, thanks for the hand hold gals I appreciate it.

  6. Gorgeous floss choice, Coni. Don't worry about it being a BAP. Think of each motif as an individual finish. Enjoy!
