I only have one "good" outfit!
Sheesh...this whole being a normal human adult thing is not what it's cracked up to be. My wardrobe as a hermit spinster was much simpler: inside sweatpants, outside sweatpants, inside pajamas, outside pajamas. Guild clothes.
Good thing Stewey's not here, or I'd be out looking for a pillbox hat and gloves.
The good Lord is happy to see you whether or not you have "Church going" clothes. Have a great Sunday!
ReplyDeleteIt's not about the clothes, but what's in your heart.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Denise. What is,in your heart is what is important.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Sunday
Amen to the above comments. 🙂 God doesn't care what you're wearing.
ReplyDeleteHaha! The ol’ pill box hat and gloves! Stewey would adore that, but can you imagine the look on the faces of the parishioners?! Enjoy your Sunday!
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling!
ReplyDeleteDenise + Texas Stitcher have it right!🌹🌺🌻🌼🌷⚘
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday!

I tend to think the Lord is delighted you are simply there and secretly cherishes the idea you want to look special for Him... Be blessed.
ReplyDeleteI go to mass every Sunday and weat my good jeans unless I am serving as a Eucharistic Minister then I have my good ol' black pants and four different tops - summer it is a pair of white pants and four different tops. It is funny the way we perceive that everyone is looking at us - when all the while they are usually busy wrapped up in their own lives! Don't worry about what is on the outside and feel the love that warms the inside from the good Lord - our maker. He is the one in charge of finding that new kidney for you. It is not like the old days when we did have to wear something on our heads. Could be somebody sitting next to you in church has an extra kidney! Enjoy your day - now I am off to mass myself.
ReplyDeleteSorry I really don't "weat
Deletemy good jeans I "wear" them!
...and that is why I am a hermit...;) Have a good day Coni!!
ReplyDeleteYou are becoming a "regular" Pray for rain so you can just roll up your pj legs, button up your coat and put on shoes. Perhaps a splash of color with a scarf and you are good to go!
ReplyDeleteWhat's good for the guild is good for God I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteGuess it's time for a little clothes shopping???
ReplyDeleteI have been on a NE/Canada cruise this week, docking today and headed home. It was a wonderful trip that went by much too quickly. Now it's back to reality.
I continue with prayers and option #1!
I'm with you. I don't work outside my home and can't fit in the clothes I wore when I had a regular job, unfortunately. Those pesky 20 pounds. So I am at a loss when I have an "event"
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny! I am feeling the same way now that I am back to work. Yoga pants and tights just aren't going to cut is as my only pants anymore.
ReplyDeleteGod doesn't care what you're wearing. She just glad you came to visit!
