I'm reading "A Spool of Blue Thread" by Anne Tyler and we're having Italian sausage and peppers for dinner. For the most part, I am getting back into routine today...stitching, blogging, reading, cooking, sleeping.
Tomorrow...I haven't a clue. For the first time in a long while I'm happy to just live in the moment and not fret about the next adventure. Will miracles never cease?
I love Anne Tyler! Although I enjoyed Spool, I like her older books better.

I enjoyed "Spool of Blue Thread", but I agree with Liz, some of her older books are my favorite. My absolute favorite of hers is "Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant".She has a keen eye for family dynamics. Sounds like a swell day. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteJust turned on the Notre Dame Michigan State game. Who in the h e double hockey stick chose those uniforms?
Egad!
Have been a fan of Tyler (and you) since college, Coni. Enjoyed Spool, but I agree her "classics" are more fulfilling. Accidental Tourist & Homesick especially. Don't get too spicy with that Italian sausage, we're not spring chickens any more!
ReplyDeleteI guess I need to read some older Anne Tyler because I loved Spool of Blue Thread. It's the only thing of hers I've ever read. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteAmen, Heritage Hall. Well said. Love, hugs & prayers, Cathryn ♥♥♥
