And I even took a snoozy nap!
I just never made it out of the fog today, so I stayed in jams until about an hour ago when I finally took a nice shower and put some clean clothes on to greet Miss Charlene and her husband. My very first visitors!
Tonight will be movie night...a new tradition we're starting here at CS2. I think it will also be pizza night in the future, but that will have to start next week since I am sans pizza and already had a salami/ham/provolone sandwich.
(Is is odd that the moment I opened the bag of ham I looked for Stewey to come around the corner looking for a taste?)
So I'm settling in and looking forward to a little stitchy time tomorrow. Then, methinks the weekend will be devoted to playing with the studio shelving cubbie thingies.
This is still unpacking mode. My goal here is just to get all of the boxes opened, emptied, and gotten rid of. Then, I'll go into organizing mode and will figure out all of the drawer dividers and other thingies that will make everything nice and tidy. Finally will be decorating mode...the hanging of the things and the placing of the things etc etc etc.
It's coming together...so far, so good. Thank you for all of your support, encouragement and tips and helpful advice, as well as the raucous cheerleading. I just never could have done this without you!
Everything is coming together. It is good you rest when you need to. There is no hurry to push yourself. Enjoy the process of creating your new home! I know it is going to be lovely. Your bathroom colors are so pretty. Might be the inspiration I need to use a strong color in my bathroom rather than the usual off white or beige. Can you paint walls in your new home? A little bit of color can really make a difference. I know what you mean about looking for Stewey when you had a bit of ham. Those memories tug at the heart for sure. He is watching you from Rainbow Ridge and encouraging you. Have a great night and a super weekend. Cindy in northern Illinois
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are settling in and making new traditions at CS2. I know what you mean about stewy and the ham. I have had many fur babies over the years and all tug at my heart memories. Raw carrots was Heidi and ice cubes oh how Courtney loved to chew ice cubes. Miss them all. Good luck with the unpacking. Try to get a couple of stitches in it will calm the nerves.

Enjoy your first weekend in your new digs, Coni.
ReplyDeleteMissy Lola and Master Big Bear held their 10th Big Birthday today. My sweet, sweet babies - who are totally spoiled. A couple of two or three, okay - maybe more treats for the special day. We all are thinking of you and wishing best wishes and healthful thoughts. Love you Ms. Connie.
ReplyDeleteIt is coming along great! Hey if you can you could try to put together those storage cubbies near where they ate going to go as sometimes they can be heavy even when empty. Talke care and you new home is looking great!
ReplyDeleteP.S. now I think I might be hungry for some lasagna and might have to make some!
Jennifer
I mean near where they are going to go.

I have been following your progress, and I certainly hope you had some help somewhere, from someone. Has you sister been any help to you? Have you had a falling out with her? Not my business, but I just don't like to see you do everything alone. However, you are doing great so far
ReplyDeleteIt's easy to cheer, give tips, and pray when you CARE. We care, Miss Coni! We care! Love, hugs & prayers, Cathryn ♥
ReplyDeleteSlow and steady wins the race, no rush now anyway. Someday it might be fun to put a little potted tree out on your balcony with a small birdfeeder? A tree that doesn't shed leaves like crazy though so as to be a chore. Glad to hear of visitors and traditions already. Take care!!
ReplyDeleteYay to new traditions!! Can't wait to hear what the first movie you watch at CS2. I saw Hidden Figures the other day and it was super if you are looking for any recommendations :)
