I always loved her. About 30 years ago, she was sitting at a nearby table when I was in a Manhattan restaurant eating brunch. She looked even better in person. Carolyn
As a preteen and young teenager watching her show, she was what I wanted to be like when I grew up. She was a beautiful, talented woman. Thanks for all the entertainment Mary. I'll miss you.
I absolutely loved Mary Richards...her first apartment (not the non-descript high rise she moved to), her set of wacky friends, her glamorous job, but most of all her generally bright outlook on life. MTM played her to perfection. She was, is, and always will be, one of my favorites.
She was so talented. A beautiful person.
ReplyDeleteShe was my idol on that show. We'll miss you Mary!

Marilyn
She just exuded joie de vivre...kept us feeling young..
ReplyDeleteHer talents never fully estimated.... RIP Mary.
First Princess Leia, then Mary Richards. My idols are falling fast. :(

ReplyDeleteMy heart is breaking over this loss, more than any of the recent ones.
ReplyDeleteOf course I did - I'm a Minneapolis girl born ans bred!
ReplyDeleteI was saddened at learning of her death. Ironically, I started watching some old Dick Van Dyke shows on Netflix the night before she passed away.
