It wasn't too shabby a year, stitching-wise. These are the pieces that I completed (the Peacock Squares photo is in progress, but I promise I finished it...I just don't have a clue as to where it ended up).
This is the first time, I think, that I've reviewed my year in stitching. I am really pleasantly surprised by the amount of fun that I had...

Well, kids, that's it for me this year. I am in the Happy Chair with my magic blanket and needle in hand...ready to ring in 2017! Stay warm and safe and dry, Happy New Year, and we'll see you on the other side! WooHoo!
WOW!!! That is really all I can say. And that you are mighty impressive, oh Spinster Stitcher, and I bow down to you in reverie.
ReplyDeleteThis year, I started many, finished none. My New Year's Resolution.....FINISH SOMETHING, you old bag!

What a 2016 accomplishment menu, dear one~ Brava! My throat always catches a bit when I a get a glimpse of Stewey...but a welcome sight, nonetheless. Your New Years
ReplyDeleteEve plans in the comfort zone sound serene and enjoyable.
Why subject ourselves to any more ugly sweater sightings?

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful stitching review! Your work is always amazing; so glad you decided to take a trip through 2016's finishes. May the next year bring you hope and happiness and many blessings.
ReplyDeleteI thought of you when I read Forbes quote of the day. "People will never define you for how many times you fall but how many times that you stand up." - Jo Malone. You are definitely a stander-uper! Wishing you a New Year filled with love, joy, laughter and much stitching...without too much frogging!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great display of beautiful stitching. Wishing you the best for the upcoming New Year...
ReplyDeleteHow fun to see all your completed stitching in one post. They are all beautiful, but Blossom is my favorite. Please show photos when they are framed or however you plan to finish them. I hope 2017 brings you much happiness, victory in wrestling with uncooperative recipes, and blissful hours in the stitching chair.
ReplyDeleteSo much beautiful stitching completed this year. My favorite is Bird in a Nest. Thank you for your wonderful blog.
ReplyDeleteYou do such beautiful work. And you were so productive even with all your heartache. I hope you have a better 2017. And I am so hopeful that you will soon find another little something to love.
ReplyDeleteYour work is exquisite. Looking forward to the projects you stitch in 2017. Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteI am so very impressed by your body of work! Your year-end round-up has encouraged me to revise my new year resolution to make a dent in my stash instead of getting healthy. Maybe I can do both. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous stitching year you had, Coni! I look forward to seeing what you and your needle (and thread and fabric) come up with in 2017. Go Coni!
ReplyDeleteWow! I was going to say Yea to the Victorian ribbons, then I saw your bargello challenge piece...love it! Wishing you (and all your readers/followers/fans) peace and love in 2017.

ReplyDeleteHard to pick a favorite, Coni. Please post a picture of Peacock Squares soon. That color way slays me!
ReplyDeleteHoly flying needles. That's an amazing amount of stitching for the year, especially since none of it is a simple little design. Bravo! All the best for 2017.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful stitchings, but Lavender and Lace Angel is my very favorite. To me, she symbolizes your struggle and strength, with peace that will endure forever.
ReplyDeleteYou did great, Coni! Beautiful, each and every one...and I love Stewey sleeping by "Hearts Afire," it made me smile.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
All the best in 2017!
Hugs

Happy New Year! You are a true needle artist. You have so much to be grateful for. Here's to more stitching in 2017. 🎉🎉
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
ReplyDeleteVery impressive!
ReplyDeleteWOW! You had some amazing finishes. I've had the "circuit board" angel in my stash since the pattern was released and seeing your finish is making it call very loudly!
ReplyDeleteConi, what magnificent work! You are an inspiration. I am still working on a birth sampler. Hoping to have it done before the baby goes off to college!
ReplyDeleteAmazing stitching year you had! Can't wait to see what you make this year!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on so many beautiful finishes. Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow. You got so much done! My faves are your Bargello creation (love the colors and stitches) and Vaceila (very symbolic, and much emotion). Loved seeing Stewey cozy next to Hearts Afire. May this year be one of peace, abundance in all things, and many hours stitching in the Happy Chair.
ReplyDeleteWonderful finishes!
