DOCTORS...WHAT DOCTORS?

If an apple a day keeps the doctors away, methinks I might be set for a bit.  Can you believe the size of these Honeycrisps? (My big fat meathook is in the pic just to give some size perspective.)
I got it in my head that I wanted apples and cinnamon doughnuts last week, so I went to the Fresh Thyme on the way home from the library.  Four ginormous apples, four lovely organic doughnuts, and a little jug of apple cider later and we had a feast!

If I can get my act together today, I might head back for more, as well as the ingredients to make spaghetti and meatballs.  I got it in my head that I wanted to make that for dinner, and now it's the only thing I can think of!

Major frogging on Vaceila last night.  I was off by one and a half (!) stitches on her blouse and just couldn't figure out a way to fudge it.  Oh well....second time around will just be twice as fun, right?

Happy Futzingday, all!

  3. Green apples are my favorite, but all apples taste great, enjoy. You are doing great with Vaceila - just relax and enjoy. Kiss Master Stewey and Bosco for me.

  5. Can't take credit for this-I saw it on a blog I can't remember but this woman used big basting stitches horizontally and vertically on her aida/linen 10 spaces apart to match the darker lines that are usually on the pattern. She could clearly see within a 10x10 space what stitches went where. (You just have to make sure you get the basting stitches right haha-double check those) This might help-that Vaciella is a big complicated girl.

  6. I am doing some frogging myself today on a teddy bear within a baby sampler. I have no idea where I went wrong and I was going cross-eyed trying to figure it out. I am taking a break from it. Those apples ARE large! I think our apples here in Maine are small this year because of the long drought we've had. Hurricane Matthew might have helped but it looks like he is going to miss us, which is really for the best, I guess. Vacillate is gorgeous. I am so eager to see her beaded.

  7. And I made spaghetti and meatballs last night! Enough that I could freeze half the sauce and meatballs, so I'll be ready next time the urge strikes!

  9. You are having a good food day, spaghetti is my all time favorite food and I never make it. My husband doesn't care for pasta and my daughter is too "diet conscious".
