MEMORIAL DAY 2012 -- SPINSTER STITCHER STYLE

The party guests cool themselves in the shade while the host sleeps off an over-indulgence of an impertinent little Merlot.  Word has it that the Spinster has taken to the big girl sleigh bed with a book entitled "The Weird Sisters".  Not one ounce of laundry seems to be completed, nor does there appear to be any attempt to clean the puppy nose prints from the lower parts of the windows.  All is quiet, hot, humid, and lazy on a Midwest Monday afternoon.

  1. Lazy day here in Tucson also. My 55+ community had the only parade in town this year. I was surprised. Was a hokey but very sweet parade and I loved every minute of it. We are headed for the 95 degree area with about 5-8% humidity. That means that every drop of moisture will be sucked out of your body. One needs to drink gallons of water each day just to stay even. :-) Going down to hear the speeches and have a good old fashioned hot dog. Will spend a super lazy afternoon catching up on Magic City and stitching. Thank you to all who served. From Tucson, AZ--PamelaR

  5. Connie, how are you liking that book. It is on my want to read list? Should I move it to the top of the list? It is hot here in Michigan also but I expect not near as hot as Hoosier state. Went to the flea market today with my middle daughter. Her birthday was this past Saturday and that was her gift. She loves antique stores and flea markets. Found some treasures for her which I bought as her birthday gift and am now glad to be home out of the sun. Hope you are enjoying your Memorial day!
