WHO NEEDS A POOL?

THIS is what I'll be jumping into this weekend......ahhhhhhhhhhh....blissity bliss bliss!

(You can learn more about this project here: http://rosylittlethings.typepad.com/ )

(I warn you, though....Miss Posie is an addiction that will cause you to lose an entire afternoon sipping a cool bevvie while lusting over her...well...her everything, actually. Whenever I read her blog I feel like the dweeb at the dweeb's table, just wanting to go over and talk to the pretty cheerleader. She. Is. So. Cool!)

And a big fat P.S....thank you Aunt Chrissy!

  1. I'm so very curious about this one. Looking forward to see your progress.
How is little Stewey doing? Is his cold better?
My dogs both had thankfully only one time a cold...and that was then kennel-cough (even they had all shots) Took them quite a while to recover :(
    Hopefully Stewey recovers fast.

  2. I'm with Gabi since I've never seen a crewel embroidery sampler. The colors are light and refreshing!

  4. Wow, what a really neat looking piece! I'm looking forward to seeing the progress pics.

How is Stewey? I do hope you're taking care of him properly, maybe some tea with honey and lemon to make sure his little throat doesn't get to raw would be in order!

    Happy weekend!

  6. Oh, that's beautiful. It makes me nostalgic for the crewel work my mother did when I was young. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

  9. It's Appleton's crewel wool. I've ordered from Alex-Paras on-line. They carry the entire colorway. I've ordered their tapestry weight wool from this store. You can order skeins and hanks depending upon your need. You may also find the wool on ebay too. Hope this info is helpful to you. FYI - I'm an Appleton freak since I stitched an Elizabeth Bradley rug using their charts plus conversion schedule, Appleton tapestry wool and 10-count interlocking canvas

  10. Little do you know, that this blog post is going a great public service. I saw this kit awhile ago, and I really liked it. I was having a hard time deciding whether to buy the kit (and wait for it to come) or wait for the pattern to come out. I made some sort of decision, and completely forgot about it!

Then, I saw your post, the light slowly dawned in my head that I had seen this before, and possibly ordered it.

I couldn't immediately find any order confirmation, so I emailed the designer. She responded very quickly that it was waiting for me at my office! Now, if I can just solve my tranportation/child care/camp problem, I can appear in my office and get it!

    Thanks again.

P.S. This is a least the 3rd or 5th project that you are doing, that I am also doing. You, however, are making much more progress.

  12. Dweeb you will never be, dear Coni! Did you finish "Stars"? I started two (yes, two - one small and one large) project yesterday and I agree BLISS with a captial B!! I haven't snapped pics yet - it was dark ... and I haven't been real fast at posting since having surgery and recovery being slow...

    Have a great weekend!!

Have you ever looked at the word verification when you post coments - mine for this one is sugatomi - what the heck is that? It is a fun word to say!

  15. I want an Aunt Chrissy! My family is afraid to express interest of any kind in my needle hobbies for fear that I'll add another project to my stash.

  16. Oh yes, indeedy-do she is addicting. I've spent several hours perusing her site since this post. Do I blame you or her?!?!? 'specially since it is now sold out!
Love the way your piece is looking!
