OK. So. I couldn't resist. This is Rainforest Crunch by Needle Delights Originals done in my own colors. Why have forty-two open projects when you can have forty-three?

***Oh, y'all were so kind to ask for my conversion. (Are you sure you want to trust me?!). The chart called for all Caron Watercolours. I switched to: Caron Wildflowers (WF), Vineyard Silk (VS, and Silk & Ovory (SI):

Sandstone to WF Ambrosia
Antique Brass to VS Zephyr
Cedar to WF Grape
Winter Wheat to VS Lavender
Kelp to WF Cranberry
Rainforest to SI Pomegranate
Moss to WF Nefertiti
Redwood to SI Frog Legs
Mahogany to VS Wisteria
Green Tea to WF Sheherezade
Gingersnap to SI Apricot
Prairie Grass to WF Marigold
Blondie to VS Citron

  1. Oh Coni, Coni!
But still - its only a number.
I love your colour choices here and look forward to seeing it finished. You will finish it won't you???? Irene xxx

  2. OMG I think I just had a heart attack!!!!! LOVE it. Will you post what colors/threads you used?

  3. Coni, what a gorgeous beginning!

I'm chiming in with Danielle -- please post your colors!

I am going to order this chart this week. You and Stew are such enablers <>!

  4. I love the colors and your thinking!

  5. ROTFL!!! Gorgeous project for 43...

    Kisses to Stewey

  6. I love it! I am proud of you working on another project! Enjoy your obsession and do what you want to do each day of your life! If you have, use it!

  7. I think 43 is a much better number than 42 anyway, I'm turning 43 this year!

Beautiful colors. I am never brave enough to switch that many colors. Your choices are just gorgeous!

  8. 43, 44, 100, the more the merrier, right?!

I really love your color conversion. It must be difficult to change it up so drastically, but you've managed it beautifully. I can see you perhaps offering a few on-line classes your very own self one of these days... (You're practically doing it now! You are so inspirational!)

  9. You are so generous to share your color conversions! I have enjoyed your and Stewey's blog for several months now (and am even disappointed when you take a break and don't post). Thank you so much for sharing your life and work with the rest of us.

  10. You know, if you had one more WIP you'd have 44, one for every year you've been alive. That's one way to celebrate your life.

  11. OHHHH wow that is sooooo lovely and vibrant ..... and what is a number eh ??? love your version better than the original ... love mouse xxxx

  12. Your new colourway is very pretty! I actually like it better than the original. It's bright and happy but still tempered with some darker shades that add great depth. :)

  13. I can't locate one of your fibers - Silk and Ovary? Is this a new feminist fiber line?

  14. Hate to think for Coni, but I am pretty sure that's Silk and Ivory.

    Very bright and colorful!

  15. Love love love the colors - I think I may have to order it too. . .

  16. So Pretty! I think there ought to be a rule that WIPs should equal the number of years you are old, or maybe two for every year... I'm way behind!

  17. Such lovely colors, and they seem to portray your personality...all vibrant and fun! I hesitate to count all my WIPs, I'm afraid I might be close to that number myself. Ah well, we addicts need to stick together! *Hugs*

  18. Could you post an updated pic of your progress on the Rainforest Crunch. I love your color choices & fixing to start it myself! Thanks!
