So there I was, minding my own business and watching crap I've recorded on the DVR thingie, when all of a sudden....
OH MY GOSH! IT'S JEFFREY DEAN MORGAN AND HE'S IN BARCELONA WITH SCARLETT JOHANSEN!
What I didn't realize is the fact that Stewey had recorded a recent Woody Allen marathon and he was happily watching one of Woody's later films....Vicky Christina Barcelona. And, what also didn't register in my pea-sized little brain was that the handsome hubba hubba actor that was seducing these women right and left was not, in fact, my beloved Jeffrey Dean Morgan, but rather his Castillian cousin, Javier Bardem.
Ahem. For the Bardem.
My goodness gracious me, but that boy was lovely to behold. And he was a painter. And he liked to visit places. And he was kind to his father. And he knew how to fly an airplane the size of a queen sized mattress. And he was.....
Wow. Sorry. You lost me for a minute there.
Anywhoose....suffice it to say that I had never seen this guy before, so now I'm going to have to go find every single thing he's ever done and watch it all with rapt attention.
Speaking of attention....I finished another block of Strawberry Shortcake last night! I really liked this one and can't decide if it's my new favorite or if the next block I finish will be. Stay tuned.
I couldn't agree with you more, on both counts! Those boys got good genes (or is that jeans?)! Strawberry Shortcake is stunning! I am so loving watching you work it. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Strawberry Shortcake is incredibly beautiful!
ReplyDeletehmmmm, may have to go browse via IMDB.com
ReplyDeleteLove your stitching.
They should all rank as favorites -- they are all beautiful!
ReplyDeleteConi: I cannot wait to see what you come up with for Javier. He is always the bad guy, looking like an escapee from Cuckoo's Nest.
ReplyDeleteHee, hee, hee.
Too funny! I love your project...the colors are so pretty. Now I am anxiously awaiting the next block.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous stitching just gorgeous.
ReplyDeletePatti xxx
Strawberry Shortcake looks simply delicious!
ReplyDeleteOooh that Javier! He is one beautiful man. Love his films, too. Your Strawberry Shortcake is just lovely. Until I started following your blog, I never realized just how pretty stitching on canvas could be. Hope you and Master Stewey have a great holiday!
ReplyDeleteIt is just crazy how much those two men look alike!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm loving Strawberry Shortcake. The colors are fab!!!
Sorry, I don`t know who that is Coni...i`m a newlywed and can`t see past my sweet hubbys face! *wink*
ReplyDeleteLove your Strawberry Shortcake though!
Javier is LOVELY, but I warn you. Most of his roles have been of bad, bad guys, like Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role
ReplyDeletefor: No Country for Old Men (2007). Great acting, but he plays a psychopath.
I need more canvas pieces. Maybe a Laura J. Perin next.
Oh Jeffrey Dean...and Strawberry shortcake... wait, Javier and Strawberry shortcake,... can I have them both?
ReplyDeleteI really like the last two blocks...it's fun watching this piece evolve! Hurry finish, I can't wait - no, suspense is good!
ReplyDeleteI was planning to see "No Country For Old Men" until I heard it described as "blood-soaked," blecch. But with Josh Brolin and Tommy Lee Jones and now you're telling me a JDM look-a-like, well, I may just overcome my queasiness! I can always look down at my stitching during the yucky parts, right?
ReplyDeleteI love love love the latest block. It's so sweet, ha ha! Can't wait to see the rest. Your precision stitching just amazes me. I really will have to try a counted canvas one day.
Hope Stewey's cutting you some slack now!

Hmmm, now I have this picture of JDM with strawberry shortcake all over him. And whipped cream. Must....get....strawberries at grocery.
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo eye candy is always great to look at! Enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteYour Strawberry Shortcake is looking wonderful! I love looking at pictures of your stitching, they are always so beautiful. You do a wonderful job.
Well, Strawberry is looking mighty nice and I love the colors in the latest block also.
ReplyDeleteYou have hooked me on The Tudors. I ordered and devoured the first season. Before I was thru disc 3 I have ordered seasons 2 & 3. Man alive he could give you heart palpitations! Borrowed a book on Henry from the library but will have to return it as many pages are missing but it does have some great pics.
You could always try a doggie diaper on Master Stew - now wouldn't that put his little nose in a snit.
Happy Stitching!
