So Mom sat there watching a movie with this blissed-out look on her face and then we headed off to bed for a good night's rest. When we woke up this morning, the whole house smelled wonderful...like Christmas and happiness, and what I imagine Santa Claus will smell like when I finally get to meet him on Friday afternoon. (What can I say? I got my reservation in early this year and we're having lunch at my club.)
I keep wandering into the kitchen (with its freshly scrubbed floor, I'm now legally required to add), and sniff delicately to catch a whiff of all of this wonderfulness.
I just hope she keeps 'em out of my closet.
Happy Day Before the Day Before the Day I Get A Zhu Zhu!
With love from you pal,
Stewey

ReplyDeleteI've got the cloves, I just might pick up an orange or two today - As long as I place them in the open fruitbowl perhaps, rather than close them in a wardrobe??? lol

Oh dear, I just Googled a Zhu Zhu!
ReplyDeleteI want one too!!! I wonder if they've hit the shops down here yet? Will have to keep an eye out for them! - It's all your fault Stewie - damn dog! lol
I can just smell those things now! Could it be because I was zesting an orange for some cookies? LOL But I'm thinking maybe I should take a couple and plug some cloves into them. That is the most heavenly smell.
ReplyDeletemmmm a favorite smell! If only we weren't leaving in THREE days. Oh fuck what am I doing writing comments?
ReplyDeleteOhhh...I like these Stewey and I sure do wish I was a craftilicious as your Mama, cause I've never made these :)
