WHEN DID I BECOME SUCH A BASEBALL FAN?

Thursday night. Phillies/Red Sox from Fenway. A full sippy cup of lemon water, some stitching, and a cleaned-up kitchen after a light and healthy dinner.

Priceless!

  1. Well, unlike some sports, not a lot happens often. Someone hits (or doesn't hit) a ball, then there's 5 minutes of spitting and scratching, while there's a consultation at the pitcher's mound. If you do miss something while focusing on your stitching, it will be replayed at least 5 times from different angles, and in slow motion.
It's sort of like all the re-runs on TV right now, no need to pay close attention so other things can be focused on, like stitching or reading.

  3. Hubby and I retired to Cape Cod (aka Red Sox land) a year ago. I watch the games while I stitch as one of your other commenters said, if you miss something you just start watching the replays and you’ll see it all. I am kind of pleased to know that we were stitching and watching the game “together” the other night. — marlene
