UGH
Anybody who says you don't get sick from the flu shot or a second covid booster is welcome to trade places with me today. Oey and ugh, Dearies. Oey and ugh.
Both shots wiped me out for around 48 hours. Got my second Shingles shot yesterday and today I can barely move that arm w/o wanting to shriek.
My unofficial my prescription for you is lots of sleep, sweet dreams, and an ENORMOUS mug of Damn Good when you feel well enough to get out of bed. Maybe a little stitching after the caffeine kicks in. Or comfort watching an old favorite.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to put ony makeshift sling & go feed the cat...
Oh Lordy, I feel your pain! The first shot I was "meh"...the second shot knocked me on my tush for 24 hours. I just got my booster on Tuesday and, if possible, it was worse than the second shot....lots of fluids (damn good counts) Tylenol, rest....hope you feel better soon dear Spinster....luv, MaryO
Awwww.. so sorry, Coni. Lots of rest and liquids... Do you take elderberry in your retinue of meds? A great and natural immune builder. Hope weekend relaxation via stitching and napping will put you back in commission.
I understand completely. I was sick from vaccine as well, but the booster was worse. I expected it though, as the flu shot always makes me ill, as did the shingles shots. Hang in there. Lots of fluids and rest. Stay warm and try to sleep. It will get better. 🤒💕
Second shingles knocked me down with chills and aches for 24 hours, then all was well. Getting covid booster soon, hoping that goes smooth. You got this Coni, wishing you well.
I spent a day and a half in bed starting within 8 hours after my 2nd Covid vax, so I feel you and hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteTake it easy and rest lots-hope you feel better soon!

The flu shot always knocks me for a loop. That's why I kept it and the Covid booster a couple of weeks apart - let my body deal with one at a time!

Hope you feel better soon. My mum said she looked like Popeye as her arm swelled up terribly. She's fine now.
ReplyDeleteHope it passes quickly for you Coni. It usually wipes me out for a week (I have MS), but I'd rather that than getting covid. Hang on in there :-)

ReplyDeleteI got sick from the first booster; I haven't had a second. Hang in there. It will pass.
ReplyDeleteConi, I hope you are feeling better today. Thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you will feel better soon. Take care of you! Hugs!

ReplyDeleteOther than a bout with diarrhea, my COVID booster shot was easy. But, my flu shot knocked me for a loop. Go figure. Feel better.
ReplyDeleteThe booster was not one of my best experiences, but, considering the alternative....Warm blankies, some hot tea(or coffee) and rest.....We need you!
