T MINUS 30 MINUTES...AND COUNTING!

Well, Dearies...all of the testing is complete, and I just had a procedure to remove all of the A antibodies from my system. The new kidney is from a type A donor, and I am a type B positive, so they need to make sure I don't fight it with the antibodies.

Done.

I've met the surgeon, Dr Lutz. My beloved Dr Goggins is out of town, so will not be here to give me a hard time, but it's my understanding that Dr Lutz studied under Dr Goggins, so all is well.

Surgery scheduled for 10:15!

I will bid you all Farewell for now. It might be a few days before I can post again, but I'll ask Aunt Chrissy to post updates here in the comments!

Thank you for being with me on this journey, my dear friends! I'll see you on the other side!

Sorry everybody, I can’t post directly to Coni’s blog 🤨 and I know not everyone is on Instagram or Facebook. I am sure as soon as Coni feels up to it she will pop on to say hello. In the meantime please be patient with me as I try to navigate through Social Media trying to keep everyone updated. Continued prayers and positive thoughts are always appreciated.
Happy Stitching and I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

  58. Update from Chryssy’s Instagram (~noon Eastern) for those that don’t have IG:
Coni is recovering today and will be in the hospital for the next few days. She will be battling a tough few days with pain and her body just trying to recover from major surgery. The best words I could think of if I was there to look her in the eyes was to tell her YOU got this!!!!

  59. Prayers ascending for all who are part of the transplant - - and especially for our wonderful Spinster Stitcher's steady recovery. Thank you to Aunt Chrissy for the updates.

  60. In a few days I will see about getting an address for her. Coni will be in Indianapolis for several weeks and I am sure she would be very touched by well wishes. I am giving her a few days to get some rest and hopefully some pain relief then I will start compiling contact information and more detailed updates.

  64. Chrissy, Thank you so much for the updates. Tell Coni that she has a whole lot of her people rooting for her, and together The Team can do this! Well, Coni can do this, but you know what I mean. And tell her that Lynn from South Jersey is stitching on Pretty Pumpkins again (Coni enabled me to stitch it too!). Hugs, Lynn

  65. Going backwards getting caught up on email. I saw Coni's post on Instagram but had not seen this. Just sending continued well wishes for a trouble-free and quick (in relative terms) recovery. I hope this finds you right on target, Coni!
