  1. I'm with stitchingnana. Peace lilies don't want to be in direct light, but they need decent light - bright light if you want them to bloom. They're not mushrooms. Don't automatically water once a week. Feel the soil and let it dry out a bit, then water. Over-watering can cause yellow leaves too. And get some Miracle Grow for Indoor Plants and follow the instructions. Stuff works wonders.

  2. Agreed. Most indoor plants need some type of sunlight. The only plant I've found that can sit in a corner and not worry about sunlight is a philodendron. I have one on top of my refrigerator and another on top of the dropped ceiling kitchen cabinets and they are flourishing. And yes, check you are not over watering.

  3. I have mine in a well lit but not direct sun, bathroom I never automatically water it. If the leaves begin to droop, I sit it in a bowl of water until it perks up and them put it back to where it was. I think maybe you are overthinking it. Robyn

  4. I only water mine when it starts to look droopy and then I give it a good glug of water. My leaves started going like that when I was watering it too much.

  6. Too much watering, and not enough light

  7. Yep. Just clip off that bad leaf, cut back on watering and move it for a little more light.

  8. I would also add that if it's sitting where a fan or a/c blows on it, it might dry out more than you think.

  9. I agree with what's been said, I think it needs more light; feel the soil before watering; check it's not in a draught from a fan or a/c. And don't beat yourself up! :-)

  10. Need more sunlight. They will be ok by window but hav to mist them once or twice on a warm/hot day. I water mine once every 2 weeks. Or whenever the leaves feel hydrated. I love my peace lilies. They flower all year round. One secret to keep them happy is give them kisses (yes weird but it works ). I find that All houseplants do much better with bright lights. Make sure there are no pest on them. Especially thrips. Also make sure you not give them too much fertilizer.

  11. My Peace Lily is from my Mom's funeral in 2008 and it is still growing strong. I have it inside and I have it is indirect sunlight. All lilies need water not a drowning! I water thoroughly then check it every few days to see if the soil has dried. If so I water again.
