HELLO WINTER

A new start yesterday, Dearies! I put myself into my Happy Chair and picked this up and enjoyed every single moment of it. While I was stitching I solved some storage problems here at CS2 (in my head anyway) and decided that when it comes time I will opt for a neutral/beige color with a small black accent pattern for the Happy Chair.

Maybe.

I have plenty of time to decide, since it is going to take quite a while to save for the re-do. Upholstery is quite expensive, so I want to make sure I'm ready.

Laundry will be the only thing on the agenda for the day, and we're having salmon again for dinner, possibly with steamed broccoli and a nice baked potato. We had Raising Caine's chicken fingers last night, and I have to say...they were delicious! I opted for coleslaw only and didn't get either the fries or Texas toast, and I think that makes a difference for me.

(Love their special sauce, by the way).

Nothing else to report. If all goes well I'll have another good stitchy day and will post progress pics tomorrow.

What's new with you?

  1. You are off to a good start on Hello Winter, Coni. Yum on the salmon and steamed broccoli! Same old thing here -- chores, stitching, reading. Happy Thursday!

  2. I want to say thank you to you for keeping me moving on my projects! I check on you every day to see where you are on yours and you motivate me! Thank you! Just a hint on reupholstering - if you have a certain softness/hardness/height, tell them! I bought chairs that were for short people so my feet could rest on the floor comfortably. When they were reupholstered the guy made the seat cushions hard and up several inches so my legs dangle! Awful!!

  4. Beautiful start! That is such a pretty pattern. I am just getting ready to head out the door to work, then pick groceries up then hopefully some stitching time in before bed. Have a great weekend!

  5. Lovely pattern and great progress on the sheep. Very timely as the new lambs have been installed with mums on the bottom field. Happy baas! And happy weekend to you. xx
