The bird buttons arrived from Just Another Button Co. I like them more than the button supplied :
We snacked yesterday instead of eating a meal, so today will be a cooking day. Veal scallopini and mashed potatoes today, and I'll do the brisket in the crock pot tomorrow.
I'm nothing if not adaptable.
Blessings and happiness to you today, Dearies!
All your birds are gorgeous. Love the buttons and the stitch choices on the needlepoint birds. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAll the birds are out - Springtime is near.
ReplyDeleteOh my, your cardinals are looking amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteBoth pieces are looking great!!
ReplyDeleteYour cardinals are looking very grand indeed! The reds are so distinctive and the floss lays so evenly. I envy your stitching skills! I'm impressed that you do both needlepoint and cross stitch. After I found cross stitch I left needlepoint in the dust and never looked back. I'm new to your blog and enjoy your writing style and commiserate with you as you recover from your surgery. You have a great attitude about it all and that is the key, my dear. Happy Sunday! We have 6 inches of new snow at my house!
ReplyDeleteThe cardinals' texture and colors are terrific. Good bird buttons!
ReplyDeleteFantastic work on the cardinals! Love the cardinal buttons for the cross stitch....Just Another Button is wonderful! Luv,

Beautiful stitching!
ReplyDeleteI have ordered some Mill Hill after viewing yours. I love your cardinal buttons! No offense to you but any dish you make with veal can be made with chicken at a reduced price and you are not eating a baby animal. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteThe buttons are really cute and so bright! The stitched cardinals have beautiful wings. It's all coming along really nicely now. Sometimes just snacking helps to digest better. I like those days, but just go with whatever we decide. Today is Spanish omelette with leftover veg and some previously cooked sausages that were cut into slices and frozen, and to add to that we are clearing out the fridge, so mushrooms and some peppers - tomatoes to garnish. Naughty bit is to add double cream (I think it is called thick cream in the US) to the beaten eggs. I fancy adding Cajun spice to give it some oomph!
ReplyDeleteHave a jolly good day today. xx
Well, that's done it. I'm ordering the cardinal chart that I've been waffling on! And I'm making myself cook dinner tonight...
ReplyDeleteThey are both beautiful projects and you are making a lovely job of them :)
