Happy New Year 2021, Dearies! I am still on my little break, but wanted to start my year off with you! We've had our coffee and breakfast, I am showered and dressed, and now the fun begins! Nothing but stitching and football (and maybe a little ham) today! My Irish are on at 4pm and are a huge underdog against Alabama, but I always have hope for underdogs.
Cheers!
Happy 2021 Coni! Love your canvas!! Cardinals always make me think of my Mom. She loved them!
ReplyDeleteYes! They say that cardinals are a symbol of loved ones who have passed. My three in this canvas are my mom, my dad, and my Stewey!
DeleteHappy New Year from Tucson! Sun is shining and it's 61 degrees. A little nippy for us weather wimps but it sure is pretty out.
ReplyDeleteWe are huge Irish fans here in Colorado! Hoping for a good out come today!
ReplyDeleteHappy new year Coni. Cardinals are our state bird. Love them.
ReplyDeleteOh! Oh! Those beautiful cardinals! I'll enjoy watching your progress! Happy New Year to you! It's the Twilight Zone for us today.....

A blessed New Year to you, JB and your Irish.....
ReplyDeleteLet the fun commence! Go Irish!
ReplyDeleteLove the cardinals. Were lucky to see them when we were in Canada many moons ago. Stunning birds - that is going to be a super feenee!
Happy New Year Coni!May your year be filled with good health and lots of stitching :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, my hat is off to you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cardinal canvas you picked to work on, Coni! Hope your Irish won!
ReplyDeleteHi Connie. The cardinals are beautiful. I have only recently gone back to doing cross stitch. I mostly piece quilts. I noticed how flat your pieces are when stitching and it looks like you have them on a frame with magnets or something holding them in place. I have searched for a similar setup without success. Would you be willing to share the type of frame you use while stitching?
ReplyDeleteFor needlepoint/canvaswork (which this is), I use stretcher bars and tack the canvas to them. For cross stitching, I use q-snaps...plastic frames with clamps that hold your fabric taught. You can get both at needlework shops, Michael's, or on the amazons!
DeleteWhat a beautiful project for the new year :)
